When booking we didn't know there was a peer so close to the hotel. It was great to have breakfast then go for a walk in the morning before we headed back home. Breakfast was hot and there were many options.
If I was every near a Stoney Creek Hotel I would probably give them another try.
When checking in we asked for 2 key cards. We were strictly told they were running short on key cards, and it would be noted we had 2 and we would be charged if not returned. The room smelled musty. I can expect that when you first get to your room, but it never seemed to go away. There was a large stain on the carpet at the bottom of one of the beds and it felt sticky.

Room not stocked with towels, coffee, or body wash
I liked how close it was to the river. You could take a nice stroll around the area of the hotel.
Kuerig didn’t work. Dirty under glass on center dresser
By the water
Not as cleanas previously experienced at other Stoney Creek locations
The location is very pretty next to the water. At first glance the facility is attractive. We arrived in the early afternoon. The hotel did not seem very busy but shortly after we arrived it became very busy. There were so many people in the pool it was difficult to enjoy it. The hot tub was taped off and not functioning. Walking back up to our third floor room there was food and trash on the stairs, which stayed there for the whole time we were there. The pullout couch in our room did not have pillows or blankets. I called the staff and she told me that they did not have any available for me. She was irritated that a dryer was "almost" not functioning and the other staff had not helped get laundry completed. She did give us extra sheets and pillow cases(not sure why since we did not have pillows). The room was average. Seemed cleaner than the rest of the place. The AC was working well. The beds were fairly comfortable. My children enjoyed the bunk beds. We managed to get enough blankets and use some pillows from our car to get the pullout couch in condition to sleep on. The shower was hot and the water pressure was decent. The electrical outlets in the walls were loose and worn out not holding our cell phone chargers very well. Before we left in the morning we checked out the breakfast. I do love a free breakfast but the eggs looked so watery we passed. The morning staff was friendly when I checked us out.
The facility including the parking lot needs cleaned. The pool water was not the cleanest but there were a lot of people in it. We would have liked to enjoy the hot tub. The breakfast could have had a few more options and not watery eggs.
The hotel is beautiful. The design and attention to the details are great.
The room wasn't ready for the new guests - nobody had checked and refilled the bath liquids levels so we were out of shampoo and shower gel. As we arrived late, we just wanted to take a shower and get some sleep.
At least the beds appeared clean. Other than that it’s kinda worn out.
Convenient location in a quiet area. Staff (Stephanie) were very hospitable.
Needs some updating (new furnishings and paint) and landscaping needs some attention. Didn’t effect our stay but indicates care and devotion of the staff to providing comfort for the customers.
The room was clean didn’t smell was cooled already.
