Stoney Creek Hotel Peoria

We upgraded our room to a Jacuzzi room and it was small and a outdated tub and the fireplace on the wall by it didn't work. Plus a chunk of carpet was missing in front of the mini fridge exposing the Tackstrip which I stepped on barefoot and stabbed my foot i was pissed. All the did was supposedly is take $20 off our room.

How I was woken up by loud guest at 2am so I chose to get up and leave at the crack of dawn instead of sleeping in and leaving at check out time. And the guy at check out question me if I paid and I had to show him I already paid.

I didn't like that it was midnight ish and we had to walk from the first building to another building (outside) with my two young children to get to our room. I understand having rooms booked and we have to go to a different area but we shouldn't have to walk to another building outside. At least have customers cut through the first building to get to the other one. Walking out in a parking lot at night with kids, not ideal.

The whole experience was very bad

The beds aren’t comfortable, nor the same size. We had a full and a queen in our room. There was roach feces on light fixtures. Ripped bed underneath hanging. Very small.

Hot tub not functional

Staff was nice and did accommodate after I wanted the two rooms to be on the same hall, but took almost a hour to wait for that even after check in time. I figured if the same person booked two rooms they should be somewhat near each other. They did not have 2 double beds for each room so they gave us a king for one room, otherwise everything else was great!

The room smelled so bad that I sprayed a whole can of Lysol and asked to be moved. I was told there were no other rooms available. I barely slept the whole night. Rude staff at the desk!

We booked a room with a kitchenette, but it wasn’t stocked with even the basic dishes, which kind of defeated the purpose of having a kitchenette in the first place. The carpet was so old that it felt grimy and sticky, and the TV had lines running across the screen no matter what channel we watched. The balcony door was so damaged that it barely opened. When we finally managed to step out onto the balcony, we were shocked to look up and see a woman standing completely naked on the balcony above us. The couch bed was so old and worn that our daughter was essentially sleeping on the floor because it sank so low, and the shower had to run at full heat for about ten minutes before the water was actually warm enough to use. Overall, the room was extremely disappointing and not at all what we expected.
