I didn’t like my stay at all!
Pros:

Nothing honestly.

Cons:

My room had human ejaculation on the curtains. Room was semi clean. Had to let staff in to clean because they were completely booked. They charge $29 pp a day for a bagel and charcuterie board breakfast. A slap in the face

Pros:

Andy is the absolute best!! Great hospitality.

Won’t ever stay again
Pros:

I used to stay there couple of years ago for longer period and never had issues like this time(

Cons:

we were initially assigned the wrong room type,
the replacement room had a non-functioning air conditioner,
we had to change rooms twice late at night,
we were ultimately downgraded from the Corner King High Floor room we booked to a standard King room,
and we were incorrectly charged a second time after checkout
Never got apology or anything from hotel

Great staff and location but the hotel is a bit run down and tired.
Pros:

Great staff and location. Bed was comfortable

Cons:

The property is old and tired and dingy- marks and dents and nicks everywhere. Worst part was the weird black bathroom - the walls, bathtub, shower, sink, counters, toilet were black so bathroom was dark and felt like it wasn’t clean. Plus you couldn’t see anything.

Very cool hotel with a stellar staff
Pros:

The staff make this hotel a gem in the lower East side, so friendly, so helpful and welcoming

Cons:

The organised driver to bring us to JFK was unhelpful and surly- also cab was not big enough to take our luggage comfortably even though we had preordered this. He left our luggage on the roadside at jfk and wouldn’t even help us lift them onto the kerb with us

The perfect New York stay from start to finish
Pros:

I had the best stay I’ve ever had in New York! This was my second time staying at The Rivington, and once again, everything was perfect. I was celebrating my birthday, and the team kindly upgraded my room, which made my trip even more special. The staff is incredibly welcoming and attentive, the location is unbeatable, and I wouldn’t stay anywhere else when visiting NYC. Highly recommend!
