Can't recommend highly enough.
Pros:

Everything & everyone! The most therapeutic break I have ever given myself. The way the place is managed & run is a microcosm of how this country should be run. Although the prices are high, this place is not merely a hotel. It is a museum (art everywhere) & deeply historical building & grounds. I was working often, on a laptop etc, and there are several lovely areas in which to do this. It feels far more homely than I expected. And I ended extending my stay because I have been so stressed for years and this felt like therapy. I didn't want to leave!
There is even a kilner water jar at the entrance filled with filtered water with lemon and a bowl of apples which you can help yourself to. Fresh melon etc at breakfast. An absolutely beautiful place and no one objected to my wandering around, absorbing the history of the place. The Great Hall is a must-see.

Cons:

The vegetarian breakfast was awful, sorry! The fake sausages would be better if just as the Quorn variety. However, the avocado on toast with eggs was great. The fresh fruit also. I didn't eat much else there but, the few things I did have were very good, Padron peppers, hummus, for example.

Excellent hotel and Spa zone
Pros:

I’m very satisfied with my stay at this hotel and spa. The service was great, the spa was relaxing, and the overall experience exceeded my expectations. Dinner and breakfast were both delicious and beautifully prepared. I would happily come back again!

Great stay
Pros:

Excellent stay! Beautiful grounds, comfortable great size rooms, great spa facilities and wonderful breakfast.

Cons:

Dinner was a ok but could have been better. Menu wasn't that impressive.

Overall, the experience was exceptional and exceeded expectations in every respect.
Pros:

The property benefits from an excellent location and beautiful surroundings. All aspects of the stay were exceptional. The room was well appointed, the spa facilities were outstanding—particularly the steam room—and the restaurant offered a warm and inviting atmosphere. Above all, the customer service was exemplary.

Slightly disappointed
Pros:

The reception staff were smiley and the bed was comfortable.

Cons:

The meals were overpriced and portions of soup were small. No bread with a £10 bowl of soup!
Also, if someone orders a plant based main course don’t put bacon all over the sprouts.
The spa is too small
