A brilliant place to get away without getting away too far

Unusual building in a nice setting with good spa facilities which is what we primarily went for in a convenient location.

Cons:

Could have done with more atmospheric lighting (lamps ) in both the restaurant and bar areas. Not enough indoor loungers around the pool just a couple which we didn’t manage to lie on unfortunately and we are there all afternoon m! The food in restaurant was ok (we had lunch and dinner) but was not great and would have expected a higher standard at lunch and dinner. Good breakfast choices though.

Overnight visit to crufts
Pros:

This has got be the most deserving 10/10 experience so hat’s off and thank you very much for a great overnight stay, only wish it was longer.
Apart from the venue being stunning, what made the whole difference and experience was the staff.
Everyone was so friendly, helpful, attentive and professional, it was an absolute pleasure to stay and thank you all to the staff who are so lovely.
Yes, the accommodation is fantastic and yes the quality of food and drinks is exceptional, but by far what exceeded the excellence was how wonderful all your staff are.
People make the difference and you have got it right.
Well done, I would love to come back soon.

Lovely historical hotel

Beautiful historic property. The property was very clean and comfortable, well maintained and the food was delicious. Great service in the restaurant. Loved the Grounds and it’s very conveniently located close to the city, but in the country. Will return 😊

Pros:

Hotel was beautiful and clean. The room was available early to us.
The spa had lots of extras and was spotless.
The staff was the main attraction. Everyone we encountered was friendly and polite but Sarah on reception was the star of the show. She couldn’t do enough for us an made our stay 10/10

Overall it was a wonderful stay
Pros:

The location and grounds are beautiful, we both had a spa treatment I had a 55 minute massage and it was an amazing, thank you Vicky. Overall we really enjoyed our stay the staff where fantastic from start to finish throughout the hotel.

Cons:

We were disappointed with the sunbeds around the spa facilities, as there were only five loungers available. It was very difficult to get one, especially since everyone goes there to relax.

We also ordered breakfast in bed, but unfortunately it arrived stone cold. As a result, we chose to have breakfast elsewhere. However, the hotel receptionist was excellent — very understanding of our disappointment — and kindly offered to replace the meal. The hotel also reimbursed us for the inconvenience.
