Location good. Staff on front desk good. Quiet hotel was appreciated. Pedro in restaurant very good.
Spa was very poor. Cancelled our massage treatment very late in the day meaning we had no time to make plans to visit elsewhere in Birmingham.
Sandwiches in bar were poor. On one of the sandwiches one of the slices of bread was stale. This we assume was because the end of the loaf had not been covered over before serving.
There was no beef available on the rather limited dinner menu on Friday evening.
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. Firstly the staff were all so friendly and accommodating (from the reception staff to the restaurant and spa staff). Secondly it was immaculate everywhere. Thirdly the breakfast was amazing! We all enjoyed our pool time too which was also very clean. We will definitely be back!
Some of the curtains and carpets are a little tired but you can look past that when everything else is exceptional. Plus the quality of the curtains is so high that I can imagine replacing them would be a very high cost.
The grounds are incredible, beautiful to use on a summers day, it was nice to be upgraded to a suite.

Beautiful location, building and gardens. The welcoming staff were absolutely delightful.
The rooms were perfectly serviceable but a little dated - it’s a shame they don’t match the lovely vibe of the hotels communal areas.
The restaurant was very slow.
The steam room in the spa had a huge vent in the ceiling to outside, preventing the build up of heat and steam, thus not really a steam room! As such, the spa was a little disappointing.
