Lack of care for others right to peace and quiet
Pros:

Security verified numerous complaints from a few different rooms of excessive constant disruptive noise complaints lasting hours. Also verified marijuana smoke in stairways and room making constant disturbances, yet nothing done other than reminders. The noise from unruly kids running and jumping for hours should not have to be acceptable regardless if quiet hours begin at 10PM. when other peoples excessive noise disturbs others peace and enjoyment of other paying guests it should be immediately handled even if that includes making the offenders leave the hotel. Even if it’s before Quiet hours. Not exceptable When money matters more than others peace that explains all that needs to be known.

Too dangerous to stay here!
Pros:

I just stepped out of a vehicle in the parking lot that I was going to have to make multiple trips back-and-forth to the room in and the moment I put my foot on the parking lot, I went sliding and landed right on my back and my elbow. The parking lot was untreated and a sheet of glass. This is absolutely uncalled for. I’m lucky I’m not 80 and frail. We canceled our reservation and went to a place that we can feel safer at.

Nice for 👪
Pros:

This resort allows you to have suite like accommodation with a separate room for the kids. The pool and slop right next to the property are nice. Things that can be improved: the surly person at the check in, the chewing gum and candy wraps in one of the drawer and the debris in the pool close to the closing time.

Romantic getaway
Pros:

Location was beautiful.Rooms were cozy and had everything you needed spacious and comfortable we were on the restaurant side. We had a great view sunrise and sun sets were amazing. Hotel was clean a bit outdated but was great. We drive about an hr and a half it was easy to get to. The staff was friendly and helpful but the best one was Dereck from Tavas he took care of everything and everyone from the waitress to the kitchen staff even when things were hectic he was kind and just chill no matter how busy things where he made great drinks and was super nice. The atmosphere was good very relaxed some kids definitely a bit rowdy in hallways during the morning and at night but they’re kids. Brunch was just ok not my favorite the restaurant had ok options but for the price for drinks and food it could definitely be better and I wish they had more adult entertainment maybe some music at the tavern. I didn’t like have to drive to other side for the other pools or market they should have a market on the restaurant side at least. We will definitely come back in the summer it was a great stay

Pay full price get partial vacation
Pros:

Pool Access Is a Joke

Booked 4 two-bedroom units (8 rooms) for 24 people and our group spent about $3,500 at the resort. Despite that, we were forced out of the pool after 90 minutes on both Saturday and Sunday.

We were organized, respectful, and not disruptive. This restriction was not disclosed and did not exist when I originally purchased. The pool is a major selling point, yet access is severely limited.

This feels like an oversold resort that can’t support its own amenities. If you’re coming for the pool, look elsewhere — you may get less than two hours a day no matter how much you spend.
I have never been to a resort that limits your time at its amenities.

Overall good, value fair, restaurant needs serious work! Which is sad because it was a very good one some years ago.
Pros:

A couple of notable things, the TV in the living room is small for the size of the room. There was no frying pan in the kitchen. The restaurant appeared empty, definitely a lack of leadership from the kitchen to the dining tables. Nothing offered like bread, pretzels, popcorn or anything while deciding on what you want to order. Service time average at best.

Great resort
Pros:

Our stay as a family of 4 was excellent for what we wanted, which was a relaxing escape. The resort as a whole is fantastic with the only downside being the restaurant which is over priced for bellow average food.

Want to hear constant doors and banging of walls. This is your spot
Pros:

Rooms appear a quick clean at best. Housekeeping are extremely disrespectful of guests who haven’t checked out. They are in and out constantly of surrounding rooms banging, slamming doors over and over. Slam furniture and vaccum repeatedly into the walls. They should have more common courtesy of the ones still trying to relax in their rooms. You can clearly tell it is deliberately done as the doors only slam when pulled. So this goes on the entire day. The housekeepers apparently have separate jobs, one comes in to change towels, one comes in with windex bottle, ANITHER with vacuum etc etc causing a very annoying constant atmosphere of slamming. All day everyday. Clearly illegals.

Winter fun resort
Pros:

Steele Hill Resort was a great resort with awesome views and had a lot of fun things to do even with winter snow. Restaurant on site, tower viewing area, indoor pool/sauna, ping pong, were all amazing! Townhome had all comforts of home. Plenty of fun activities and places to visit nearby. Would highly recommend it!

Nice little visit to get away to.
Pros:

The room was clean and efficient. The only two concerns we had were dining at the bar and the service took 20 minutes or more for a cup of coffee and we called room service to have coffee delivered pods delivered to our room and that took over two hours. Staff is very polite just seemed a bit overwhelmed. The location of the resort did make it easy to visit other small area towns and quaint dining facilities.

Very nice place, we will be going back.
Pros:

We had a great stay at Steel Hill Resort-South. This was our first time to this resort and we weren't disappointed. My husband is disabled and can't carry things up the stairs, they had someone one right over to help us into the unit, very grateful. The studio we had was perfect for my husband and I. It was very clean, the furniture was nice, the bed(murphy bed) was very comfortable and the towels..the towels were fabulous, so soft and white(from Blue Fin, Boston textiles)!!! They have a lot of property for hikes, and a very, very informal golf coarse( 9 holes). So many pools and other amenities we are planning to go back there in the summer. This is a must stay place.

Great views
Pros:

Great place with great views. It is older and so it needs some updates, but still very nice. We had a one bedroom king. Big living room kitchen dining area. But the bathroom was small. We did one of several hikes around this huge property. Restaurant was ok, just, and expensive. But we ate in our room most of the time.
We really had a nice time.

Beautiful! I didn’t want to leave!
Pros:

Steele Hill is absolutely beautiful! My room was clean and comfy and reasonably priced for a resort! I will say check in can be confusing as they said I was staying in the main building. The map only says east building, west building etc. You would think the brightly lit building on the hill would be the main building, but that’s incorrect. A sign outside the buildings would be really helpful, especially for people arriving after dark like I did!
Also, the hotel is located on the top of a hill, about 5 miles from the closest town, and only has one restaurant/option for food. My complaint is that I booked the hotel with specific plans to eat at the restaurant for dinner and everything I saw said it would be open- it was not. This isn’t cosmic, but definitely inconvenient when it’s the only thing close by and I’d specifically booked the hotel knowing I was going to have a late day and planning the restaurant around that.
Overall the resort was absolutely stunning and the view cannot be beat!! Highly recommend staying here for a lovely getaway!

Pros:

My fiance and I have stayed here multiple times since we me over a decade ago (and he and his family stayed in the 90s!). It is a perfect location to get away from the city and just relax and there is entertainment nearby and on property for the whole family.

The amenities and grounds are a little dated but that just adds to the New England charm, in my opinion. The Hilltop restaurant has solid food and amazing service. You're in close proximity to Lake Winnipesaukee, about 30 minutes away from the Tilton outlets, and about 45 minutes away from the start of the White Mountain hiking trails.

Cozy spot, good for families and couples. There was even a wedding up here this weekend!

Nice location
Pros:

This location is nice with some nice views of the hills and lake. The staff all seemed ambivalent, as though they didn't care much for their jobs and just did the minimum. Things missing from room at check-in took hours and multiple calls to get.

Gorgeous mountain scenery for a wedding!
Pros:

We had a wonderful wedding day at Steele Hill tent! The reason for the 3 stars? They really price gouge for everything probably because they know they can!

Food is not bad if you get a burger or chicken wrap in the bar.

I have to say our room was a cozy suite. Full kitchen -King bed was comfy and the spot was quiet! Room 205 in the lodge!😊

I give 5 stars to front desk and maintenance department! We had a clogged drain - a call to front desk they were fixing it quick!! Great job!!Front desk was on it with anything you needed. 😊

I also give catering - Contigiani’s-and event department 5 stars!!! Food and management of the venue was flawless!!! It was the best wedding ever! 🤵🏻👰🏻❤️

I mean the property does need some renovation work- but if you look past some of the needed renovations and the over priced food and drink prices…. It’s a beautiful spot for wedding!!!💃🕺❤️

As mother of the bride…well done!😊

Enjoyed our stay. One of our group had mobility issues and the stairs are very difficult. The staff is excellent.
Pros:

Beautiful view of the area. The rooms are nice. I’m glad they have two queen size beds in the room on the main floor. Need better kitchenware. Our spatula fell apart so when we ordered more towels we asked for a new one and it was delivered very quickly.

The joys of relaxing...
Pros:

We have a relaxing, enjoyable vacation and I always hate to leave this place....never enough time to do everything I want to do.
We usually go during off season times, so I have not experienced the Oasis poolside indoor bar, nor spent a lazy afternoon at the fireplace in the common room.
The indoor pools, sauna, and hot tub are also huge plusses for relaxing. Towels are provided. Steele Hill posts on their website when pool maintenance is happening, but they don't do them all at the same time, so there's always at least one open.
The massage and spa are great additions to the amenities, very enjoyable and satisfying. The women there are pleasant and listen to you for what you need, such as the intensity of your massage, facials, paraffin wax dip, mani/pedi... appointments are recommended.
The Hilltop Restaurant is great with a variety of dishes available, but we, sadly, didn't get to enjoy it this time around.
The small market in the West building has items to hold you over until you can drive to a grocery store, Walmart, Ollie's, etc.. there's also a Dunks within 10 minutes of the resort. The Market has Steele Hill merch like t-shirts, shorts, sweatshirts, and hats, snacks and drinks, toys and jewelry. No cash accepted here.
The suites have a full kitchen with dishes, cookware, and utensils. (We brought our own crockpot. Made a mental note to bring my knife sharpener next time.) You'll need to bring your food, condiments/spices, and drinks.
The rooms have a microwave and mini fridge. Beds are super comfortable and there are plenty of pillows and towels.

We'll be going back there again and again...
