Love the views but doesn’t feel like a 5 star hotel anymore
Pros:

Great views from the sea view suites - we were on floor 14
Friendly helpful staff
Comfortable bed
Massage by Ethel in spa was excellent.
Decent breakfast with hot and cold buffet plus eggs/ omelettes made to order plus fizz

Looking tired.

Es gibt zu wenig Aufzüge, sodass man teils etwas länger warten muss. Wir waren im 6. Stock, so konnten wir auch das Treppenhaus benutzen.

El desayuno muy bueno, calidad, variedad y servicio muy bueno. Las vistas de la habitación buenas. Los masajes toda una experiencia muy agradable, lo recomiendo a todo el mundo.

Enjoyed our stay but left unhappy with a poor experience from the previous night as noted above.

Breakfast was excellent,staff were very attentive and friendly,great choice of good quality food and drinks,lovely breakfast room.

Cons:

We would have liked to dine at the Alarz restaurant ,we tried booking by phone but received a message in Spanish that we did not understand,tried to book at reception and the only time available was 20.45 which was much too late.We passed by the restaurant later,around 20.30 and the restaurant was practically empty so there is an issue with bookings and we were most disappointed especially when we found that the restaurant was so empty!!!

We will be back...and we will want the same suite. Viva Arrecife Gran Hotel!
Pros:

Camilla, one of the front desk hostesses deserves a raise and an award for excellence. She connected us with Lanzarote's greatest artist/architect, Cesar Manrique: his work visible and visitable from the Gran Hotel!..Museo Contemporaneo and his Fondacion and house, a taxi ride away.
The Gran Hotel is elegance and luxury supreme. Our deluxe seaview suite was heaven, the buffet breakfast superb (maitre d' Gilberto is a treat), the ground floor Alarz's original cooking delicious, and the stress massages my wife and I had, side by side, were purr-fect.

Cons:

A couple of suggested boat excursions were inappropriate due to the predicted weather on 26/2/26. One was cancelled, but the Dolphin adventure was a mistake that should have been avoided. No dolphins, and a very cold and windy, wet, bumpy, expensive ride. Might have been fine on a sunny day.
The top floor restaurant, Blue, played very loud music...we couldn't have stayed.
