My husband and I to Belterra the other day and ended up leaving early and wasting over $200 on our room. We checked in and ended up, leaving the same exact day. In the short amount of time being at the hotel, there were dogs barking on our floor constantly. And the hallways reeked of marijuana. We got a non-smoking room and could smell the marijuana in our room. I mentioned the barking dogs and smell to one of the staff members, and they said there was nothing they could do if they didn’t know where it was coming from. So basically don’t complain about it if you don’t know which room it’s coming from. So we stayed at the hotel for a little while and gambled and went back to her room. Now there wasn’t only one dog barking at this time, there was several dogs barking on the same floor. We tried to go to sleep, but we couldn’t sleep because of the dogs barking constantly. Don’t get me wrong. I’m 100% a dog lover. But if you’re going bring your dog, make sure someone is in the room with the dog so it doesn’t disturb other guest. In the rooms, it was very quiet and you could hear conversations in the hallway and door slamming all the time. So we packed up our things and left and drove over an hr to get back home. I was so disappointed with the hotel.
I have been several times to this casino and spend alot of money. For example 500 today and these were the kind of bonuses I was getting. 1.98 or 2.40.
This has to be the worst experience I've ever have at this casino and I will not be back. I took pictures and told the lady in charge and all she said is I would have to just write a report on each machines. Kathy is her name I believe.
When I left I got food from the nosh which is their food place and those lady's were extremely nice and helpful.
This is our go-to casino in the area. The rooms are nice, and they have plenty of smoking rooms- requirement for us. Are they the best? Nope.
The main casino floor has a decent selection of slots. Table games are usually decent- $10 tables and usually $5 craps. Not bad. Crapless craps as well!
Hollywood is my actually my preferred casino, but Penn doesn’t have any Vegas casinos (only Henderson) and Boyd’s is pretty good with comps. So we art for free in IN and when we go to Vegas 2x/year we stay free at one of the Boyd’s properties. Fremont. Always stay in Fremont. Works out pretty good.
We haven’t been here since the Covid outbreak. This used to be my favorite casino. Not anymore. I don’t like that smoking is permitted on the main boat which is also where all the table games are. When I was last there, there were no slots in the main hallway to the boat. This is non smoking now, but I don’t like having the slots in this area. Cramming slots in any area they can. Won’t be back.
This place was SO dirty and nasty. We had a complimentary room for two nights on what was to be a smoke-free floor. The overwhelming smell of smoke was too much. The food in The Stadium was not good. The ribs were seasoned and prepped on only one side and were so full of gristle. The chicken breast was way to dry to eat. When we finished dinner, we hit the casino. Only a small amount of machines are in the non-smoking area. We ventured into the main area of the casino and were appalled at the lack of care to the machines and the building. About every other one was in some state of disrepair. Many would not even take a ticket. There was a machine that had been pulled away from the wall by about 5 feet, and what was behind it it was disturbing. There was a power strip with no less than 20 things plugged into it. It was covered in an incredible amount of dust, dirt, hair and what seemed to be mold. It was so thick that it had to have been there for ages. This could be easily seen by anyone with eyes, including staff! We saw no one wipe a machine down or puch in a chair the entire night we were in the casino. We left after the first night and forfeited the second free night. We just could not stomach it. Please note that the staff was all very friendly, even when we brought up our concerns when leaving. The facility on the other hand is simply dated and gross.
We had a small issue but it was resolved quickly
Room was nice! Steakhouse really good.. sportsbar is fine except the food. Casino has good odds. God forbid you try and have fun at the tables though. You will be scolded and cut off. It's a casino people! Challenging golf course. Golf shop staff was awesome
had a great breakfast at the sports bar and resturant
Room was dirty, no ventilation on smoking floor - never again!!
It had been awhile since we last visited Belterra. This trip was disappointing. Given the rate, I was expecting the same experience with our room we have had in the past. Not the same, although clean, the shower was terrible, took 20 mins to even be slightly warm, the water pressure was terrible, and it leaked out of the too short curtain. My $10 shower head in my own shower is better. Made our stay subpar.
Nice property, staff and rooms. Would definitely stay here again.
Room was very nice and great scenery ! I come here a lot on my days - evenings off. I like the sports bar, they have good food and there are other restaurants there. The place also has concerts and a beautiful golf club. I came to the Bar restaurant at the club « Out of bounds « today for the first time. Last night there was a good band playing for free in the bar across from the hotel desk. Love this place !
No restaurants close or shopping areas but hotel and room is big and clean
Outside entrances could use some freshening up. Landscaping tired
Staff was very helpful and friendly and answered all of my questions.
The main floor and common areas were beautiful and inviting. The room had a few issues: it was clean, but despite being on a non-smoking floor, it smelled like stale cigarette smoke. The bathroom door needed to be adjusted it stuck at the top; the beautiful oval bathtub had a shower curtain too short to reach into the tub causing a flood when showering.
We went for my 52nd bday and I was excited to eat, gamble and getaway. We had fun gambling for sure! Having said that, the bath (which I was looking forward to after seeing pics) was terrible: the drain didn’t plug (room 667) and the hot water ran out after a few minutes. I tried to make a makeshift plug with my wash rag, but it was a lost cause. The water pressure was terrible. That made the end of the evening frustrating. Which in turn made my hubby grumpy too. We most likely won’t return.
The spa tub is worth booking there
Great room. Comfortable bed. Really nice stay.
The Stadium is amazing. The self checkin was quick and easy especially when there was a line of people waiting at the counter.
