No working AC, incorrect sleeping arrangements, extra child charges, and extremely poor handling of our complaints.

The location was reasonably convenient, but unfortunately the problems with the room and the way the situation was handled completely overshadowed anything positive about the stay.

Cons:

This was an extremely disappointing stay. The air conditioning did not work properly, and the room was unbearably hot. When we complained, staff blamed the problem on the fact that we had a corner room and said the sun heats that room more. That explanation was unacceptable. Instead of fixing the AC, moving us to another suitable room, or offering a real solution, they gave us two fans that only circulated hot air.

We also booked the room expecting three sleeping accommodations: one full bed, one king bed, and one sofa bed. When we arrived, we were told that the room could only have two beds. In reality, we only had one king bed and one sofa bed, which was not what we expected based on the booking.

To make matters worse, we were also charged an additional €20 per night plus taxes for our 11-year-old son. Considering the sleeping arrangement was already different from what we expected, this extra charge was even more frustrating.

When we asked for the manager’s name so we could address our concerns, staff refused to provide it and told us that the manager’s name was “private information.” This was extremely unprofessional and made it feel like no one wanted to take responsibility for the situation.

For a Best Western property, we expected much better. A functioning air conditioner, the room setup that was represented when booking, transparent fees, and professional customer service are basic expectations. We would not stay here again and would not recommend this hotel.

Pros:

Rooms were comfy and well kept. Staff were very friendly and always happy to help. Location was great close to shops, bars, restaurants, and public transport which made it easy to get around. Overall a very pleasant stay at reasonable price.
