Horrible.
Pros:

The room is comfortable. However, the staff is horrible. They completely ignored my reservation with Booking regarding the price, charges, and stay duration. They said I would have to check out after 1 day and check in the next day. I finally decided to book another hotel through Booking: the Hyatt.

Cons:

They dislike Booking.

Nice choice in Rancho Bernardo
Pros:

The hotel has all the amenities I wanted and I enjoyed the breakfast.

Cons:

The hotel has dangerous automatic lights in the bathroom. If you get up at night and bright lights go on, you lose your night vision and it’s harder to get back to the bed. As always, I use the ironing board and bath towels to cover this annoying feature. PLEASE get rid of these. I can turn on a light with a switch if I need or want to do so!

We were greeted and checked in by Marley who was friendly, informative, and professional. The room was clean, well appointed, and the bed very comfortable. Also, very good breakfast options in the hotel.

Cons:

Yikes! The room was very chilly and a cool breeze came from the bathroom. The bedding was very light. Thankfully, I brought two cozy TV throws from home just in case. I was chilly the whole time.

Overall we like our stay, the location but wish the pillows and food choices were better.
Pros:

We ordered breakfast to go from the restaurant. I wish there were a bit more choices to choose from besides just the all you can eat.

Cons:

It was slightly inconvenient with the entry to the hotel being closed and having to enter from the bar area. Also, the pillows on the beds in our room were horrible. Way to soft and only 1 regular size pillow and 2 throw pillows on each queen for 4 people.

Great experiance for business trip.
Pros:

Very nice hotel. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms. Got in late and was given great tips on where to get a bite to eat. Breakfast was great. Chris made the best french toast and sausage i've ever had at a HGI.

A waste of time and money.
Pros:

The staff was very friendly while checking in and the room was clean.

Cons:

The location was listed as 4 miles from legoland, but was actually more than 40 minutes away. After driving for nearly an hour we were able to check in and pay the $15 self parking fee not listed at the time of booking. The staff at the desk were friendly and the room was clean, however the refrigerator did not work and there was a huge water stain on the carpet around the refrigerator. Also the power went out at night and I could not get a hold of anyone and there were no updates on when the power would be restored, so I packed up my family and we had to leave early. I did not get to enjoy any amenities. I would not stay here again.

The bed was exceptionally hard, and the towels were pretty rough. To be charged for parking in a public lot is ludicrous.

Pros:

At check in we were greeted by two friendly representatives, who were so kind and knowledgeable answering our questions. The room was clean and comfortable, actually wished we were on a longer visit. Having the Catholic church there was excellent for Sunday . Oh and 12pm check out!

We were there for one night, so everything we experienced was positive
