The views, the breakfast and reception. Tom was very helpful. Birdsong every morning
Bed was hard
Lovely friendly staff. Superb breakfast, great choice of freshly cooked food.
Nothing.
The hotel staff were very friendly, happy, helpful and nothing was to much to ask. They're a great attribute to the hotel. Everyone was very chatty, such a pleasure staying at this hotel
Coffee at breakfast, but that's me as I do like real coffee first thing in the morning.
Everything, the pool was amazing on a hot day for swimming or just sunbathing on the sun loungers. The room was spacious and comfy yes some rooms are lots of stairs to get to but thats part of the buildings charm. Breakfast was really good also continental and cooked breakfast option. But in my honest opinion the absolute best thing i could say about the place was how amazingly attentive the staff are nothings too much hassle for them.
Nothing.
Good location with parking, lovely pool, good breakfast and evening meal. Staff were very helpful especially Tom who was particularly helpful and friendly and made our visit extra special.
Bed a bit too firm, some minor updating could make this an even better hotel.
Nice big room with a nice view
Room looked tired. Mush mash of furniture- many with stains.
Room and view were good
Restaurant was closed due to a family bereavement
Lage, Garten, freundlicher Empfang
Hellhörig, dünne Wände, Teilnahme am Familienleben der Nachbarn
Schwül warm unterm Dach, etwas Kühlung nur mit Durchzug über den Flur bei offener Tür
The hotel was perfectly peaceful. The staff were amazing. Our room wasn't ready when we arrived but we were quickly upgraded to a suite, no extra wait time.
The weather was incredibly warm and we couldn't take a cold shower.
Location is awesome, outdoor pool huge bonus, some of the origin architecture and grounds are lovely the price is good by comparison to other hotels
We enjoyed our stay but a few things are done better at other hotels although obviously you probably pay a lot more .
Two single beds pushed together instead of a proper double, v uncomfortable on sleeping on the join. Curtains too thin woke up with the sun. Fixtures and fittings seemed like they were from a cheap 1980's refurb and hadn't been touched in over 50 years. Breakfast was not the best. Locals and staff using pool.
Very calm and comfortable stay
No lift, dining options can improve for kids
The view from our bedroom was superb and everything was beautifully clean, however I was travelling with my sister and had chosen a twin bed room through booking .com. Instead we had to share a bed . On the positive side it was huge/ king size and extremely comfortable, so didn’t matter in the end.
The staff were very welcoming and helpful.
Beautiful old house - gorgeous inside and out, with lovely four poster bed rooms!!
It’s a short distance out of town (lovely and quiet) but up a very steep hill. It’s a stiff walk!!
Off street parking for us
Location close to the old town
Nice & quiet
Lovely and warm inside
Great breakfast
The staff where fabulous had great chats and laughs and suggested more places to visit on Isle of Wight

We had such a lovely stay, everything was just perfect. The staff were amazing, so welcoming and attentive throughout, and the food was absolutely great as well.
We’d definitely stay there again and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend it. Thank you for such a wonderful experience!
The only slight fault was the bathroom it was a little dated could do with a a little refurbishment.
