Hotel mittlerweile nur noch mittelmäßig. Einzig die Lage überzeugt.
Pros:

Zimmer OK aber etwas in die Jahre gekommen. Kein Vergleich mit neueren 5-Sterne Hotels. Bett allerdings sehr bequem. Eckzimmer sehr ruhig.

Cons:

Bar und chinesisches Restaurant sind geschlossen. Lobby nicht geheizt Ende November und daher sehr kalt und ungemütlich.

Pros:

Great hotel , friendly staff , clean rooms and very spacious . Daniel was particularly friendly and welcoming. Stayed here a few times and the experience is always consistent. Very good value for money . Good location and very nice place to stay

Modern commercial hotel
Pros:

Clean modern hotel, not luxury but not basic. Nice Japanese restaurant. Near Grand Harbour shopping centre. (walking distance), simple check in and friendly staff.

Cons:

No soul, must be part of a big group I think. No bath in the room I booked. Wifi was shocking, unable to stream to TV and very few english TV stations.

Pros:

This property has gone down hill since it opened as a Shangrila. It is now 20 years old and despite several branding changes (now VOCO an IIHG hotel) and a renovation, the service and remodel is substandard. The hotel claims it is a 5 star but the room service menu is a joke. The food is hust bad. And the inviting feeling to foreigners it once had with English speaking employees, currency exchange service, ann ATM on premises and a room service menu loaded with foreign options, there are much better options within a mile of this location including the Marriott Xinbei and the Sheraton. Both of these options are much superior.

Fudu shagrila Changzhou is the best
Pros:

I am regular guest in fudu Shangri-La , changzhou xinbei. Yes it is nice hotel with all what you need or want, but what makes this place special are people taking care of guests. Let me mention Gina mainly working in coffee garden, she is the most caring person in whole hotel, perfect English and very funny. More than luxary breakfast makes my day chat with Gina. Thank you Gina, thank you Shangri-La.
