Location is convenient, close to Hungary Spa Centre and Luna Park. With own indoor and outdoor thermals and huge outdoor pool, different saunas. Staff speaks English and German, very polite. We booked Apartments for 3 person, it was even better than we expected.
The hotel is renovated and in a good condition. The staff is friendly. Parking available in the lot. Buffet style breakfast and dinner is good. Location is good, pools and sauna good and clean. Negative: The wall outlets in the room are located near the floor and difficult to find and plug in and out and also covered by the small night cabinet. Also negative impression is about asking so many personal data without giving guarantee about using my data. I asked for GDPR manual but the reception even did not know what I was talking about. The check-out took so long. The guy at reception collected all the slips from bar, restaurant, pool-bar etc, summarized by hand although they have computer system. There is no express check out. I missed it very much. Spent 20 minutes for check out. The fan-cool is little bit loud especially in the night when you are sleeping.
Good location. Room fine, but old, amenities fine. Food very good. The entire building needs renovation. Be careful when you enter the lift, also old and not reliable. My father's hand has been hit by the elevator automatic door when he was enterring it straight after check-in we have received the keys. So his entire stay has been ruined. He couldn't go neither to the pool nor to the spa. Nobody even said SORRY. Staff qiute reluctant and ignorant except Hajnalka at the reception. Even their Doctor hasn't been willing to treat it, only on 3rd day, when it was bleeding near the pool. His injury still hasn't healed yet, see the pic.
Good location, amazing food and choice.Wide range of amenities and entertainments.Needs upgrade - not 4*! Staff not really willing to help except Ungvari-Kiraly Hajnalka, who is the only works.Welldone!
Hello,
My name is Bogdan Muncus and together with other 5 friends, we spend 4 days on Hunguest Hotel Béke. The hotel is near all the main attractions that Hajduszoboszlo can offer, from the outside it looks a little bit old, but on the inside is well renovated with spacious and clean rooms, the restaurant is basic but it will offer you a very large variety of food (local & international cuisine). The swiming pools are very well mentained, the resort will even offer you one of the lagest treatment bases in Hajduszoboszlo. Overall, I recomand this Hotel for families with childreen, young couples and old people who wants to rest a couple of days.
Best regards,
Bogdan Muncus
Satu Mare, Romania.
I was at a conference in here and it was like time travel.
The dining hall is as spacious like a small airport terminal, the common areas are very huge! Lovely!
Do not get me wrong, I really enjoyed it! :-)
To be honest I was not impressed. The receptionists were not so good with English. Surprising! Not very good German either from what I could check myself. Anyway, room was clean and tidy, bathroom nice. We were told to use the green towels in the spa, but there was only 1 green for the three of us (wife and kid).
Spa was really great. My 3 year old loved going from pool to pool. Great!
Food: ok, tasted good and was also not expensive.
I think the hotel is better during summer. General statement: it is worth a shot, ok for a small family, even for small kids. Good location also, a lot of restaurants around.
We stayed for two nights at the end of June in main building on the 6th highest floor.
Nice location in the resort area. Not spacious but comfortable renovated rooms with balconies equipped with table, chairs and clothes dryer.Unfortunately,it was a little stuffy there due to location on the top of the building at outdoor temperature 32 C and not good enough air conditioning facilities. So I do not recommend to choose this highest floor in the summertime. The dining room is tall and spacious , live music was played during the dinners. The buffet was decent and one time even very special meal as maw goulash was offered.
But the main great impressions were taken from the spa facilities.A lot of nice indoor and outdoor thermal water, vortex and swimming pools located in the beautiful park. The area is not so big in comparison with Hungarospa but as for me it is more cozy ,cleaner and not overcrowded despite the hotel was being full.It was very easy to find a free sunbed at any part of the park. to get place in vortex and in sauna at any time from 6-00AM to 20-00.
The private car parking is big and free of charge.WI-Fi was decent but not strong in the park area. The staff in front desk and spa was very helpful and friendly.
Despite on some disadvantages of the hotel I highly recommend the hotel for guests who want to get good spa relax.
Nice rooms, maybe a little bit small, but nevertheless comfortable. The Spa area very good, with quite a few options: swimming pool, outside and inside thermal pool, jacuzzi, several sauna. Good and diversified food in the restaurant. All you need for a couple of days of relaxation you can find in the hotel.
Nice place to spend a couple days with the family or with friends.
Nostalgic feeling to spend time here. Very difficult to explain, but I felt some "socreal" experince. No problem with it, because the rooms are clear, the service is standard. The restaurant is disappoint for me. Buffet dinner, very old-style assortment and limited wine offer.
We spent 7 days in hotel’s family apartments and decided to come back again for a longer period! We liked the possibility of taking treatments and at the same time to rest. The hotel services are good and staff is friendly.
Hotel has its own complex of swimming pools and pools with iodine rich thermal mineral water. A wide choice of Hungarian dishes for lunch and dinner and good breakfast. If you decided to choose this hotel - I reccomend you half board (breakfast + dinner) package – this will save your time and money.
Very clean hotel with renovated rooms and private spa.
We were in low season (few guests) but took 3 rooms next to each other and we could only hear sounds from the corridor so no annoying sounds between the rooms.
Spa is limited in capacity but it was fine in low season, you can find everything from range of saunas, therapy rooms, mineral water with shower effects and pools for kids/children.
Food was very good with large selection at all times.
Hotel Beke situated on the main street of Hajduszoboszló and not far away from city spa.
It has 3 stars which I believe deserved despite the outlook of the building. Rooms are okay and newly renovated, only annoying thing is that rooms are not sound-proofed.
For ever Beke!!!
Miraculous water. Good beer at pool bar. Endless food preparates following hungarian tastes. As I say forever only here.Fresh coffe on lobby. Good piano music every night. Verry onnest people involved here. A real child remember of the old resorts
Everything was at the superlatif!
We slept in the first day in hotel in Hajdu, where was a terible hot, so we decided to go to see other hotels, and we find Beke, and we chose it! Beke has the perfect choice for us! we was whit our baby and we recive an apartment very beautiful! the food was very good and the services also! The swiming pool are good too! Every thing was good!
A renovated 4-star hotel in the middle of the touristic center of Hajdúszoboszló. Quite a nice place to stay, the spa is all right. Only two issues to mention: parking place is somewhere behind the hotel, quite difficult to get there from the main entrance. And the air conditioning system didn't seem to cope with the 35 degrees outside
Good, central location in Hajduszoboszlo and great spa/pools facilities. The hotel is quite modern however the room's equipement and design were just average and not really 4 stars standard. Cleanlines was O.K. The staff in all departaments were friendly and nice but not everyone speak English. Very good, tasteful breakfast and diner in HB option. Overall nice and pleasant stay.
We spent two weeks there during a very hot spell and it was awful. The hotel was allegedly renovated and now claims to have 4 stars while it deserves maybe 2 at the most. The tiny, probably Chinese-made A/C unit could not cope with the temperature: it was barely blowing towards a wall instead of towards the center of the room 24/7, and it was still stifling. On another floor, the A/C unit was mounted under a wide window sill and could not cool the room. The interior decorator chose a bright mustard color paint for the bedroom portion of the room, coupled with wine-colored drapes featuring golden palm fronds (straight from a bordello). The drapes were too small to cover the entire window so we had light at 5 AM. I noticed that on the 3rd floor the rooms were painted hot pink and on 4th floor - drab olive green. All this accompanied by orange-red carpeting, with stains.
The bathroom was dirty - we had dirt stains on the sink counter which were never cleaned (2 weeks!) despite our complaining to the front desk. I did not dare check the drain in the shower stall. There is no fan in the bathroom so in a 40 deg C weather you almost faint in there. You get no chairs, only one narrow armchair. Instead of headboards, you have cheap off-white formica boards. No night stands - just square boxes with one open side, no shelf. All electrical outlets at floor level; the safe inside our closet was also mounted in a corner on the floor. Wonderful for older people who go there for treatments and have to bend or kneel on the floor, isn't it? Instead of shelves in the closet, we had a chest in a corner that looked like a fridge and opened towards the wall rather than the room, just to make it harder.
It took the housekeeping roughly 10 minutes to "clean" the room every day, so no wonder it was dirty.
They did not give us clean towels every day (remember: 4****!) and I finally had to take down the sheets myself to get fresh ones. The balcony must have never been cleaned since the bldg was commissioned.
The food was mediocre - cheap fried fish so dry I never even tried it. Meats mostly fried. They would put a platter with fresh fruit out, but unless you came right at dinner time, you had to make do with just apples and oranges. One day I went through 8 (!) glasses before I found a clean one to pour some juice.
But the worst thing was the famous pools: they have commercialized everything and try to squeeze every last cent out of the hotel so now anyone can come in after buying a ticket and use the pools. Consequently, you have sweaty, unwashed people who are not hotel guests and probably camp somewhere in tents who get into water without taking a shower first, disgusting.
Practically nobody speaks English, only German, even the receptionists speak broken English.
The only good thing is the spa with excellent treatments and professional therapists.
And you have to wonder how they dare say Beke is a 4-star hotel and charge you exorbitant prices for such poor quality.
Weva had a very nice weekend in this hotel in march. We traveled with two small kids. The kids had a lot of fun in the pools. Wer good godvalso. Nice rooms. We had the apartment with The bedroom and a small room with a sofa bed. Very clean ! I recomand for families with kids.
We had a very pleasant stay in this hotel, every single member of staff was welcoming, polite, friendly and helpful, in particular the reception staff and the chambermaids.
However, we have a few concerns that we feel the management needs to address. As independent travellers we would have preferred to be able to book just on a B&B basis but they will only take a HB or FB booking. Travellers do not get a full experience of a place without trying out local restaurants and also this is rather greedy of the hotel and is taking business away from local restaurants.
The pool complex is open to the public on a daily basis, so during busy times there are not enough sunbeds to go around and it's extremely irritating to want to spend a hot day outside to find all the sunbeds are gone (unless you arrive by 8am) and only hard garden chairs are provided. The staff tried their best but they can't magic up sunbeds that don't exist - this also put them under a deal of strain having to cope with disgruntled guests.
It was rather warm while we were there, although in mid May, and the A/C in our room made a great deal of noise but didn't cool. At night we couldn't leave the door to the balcony open as it meant that the curtains wouldn't close and we would have been woken by the light at 5am. We twice complained to reception who each time sent someone to investigate. So imagine how irritated we were on checking out to be told that the hotel has a central system and decides when it's time to switch the A/C on. They decided that it wasn't necessary!! As the paying guests shouldn't we be able to make this decision? And why weren't we told this when we twice complained?
Our last weekend was spoilt by a team building event being held in the hotel by ambulance crews (we've experienced this in Hungary before - conferences etc. being held on a weekend - very odd by western standards). This meant that the front of the hotel was lined by ambulances, very off putting if you don't know what's going on. On the Saturday of the event there was a constant stream of ambulance personnel going through the hotel carrying backboards and medical paraphernalia. However, the worst was at dinner, the ambulance crews came in wearing their uniforms which they'd worn all day at their exercises and decended on the buffet dinner. It was like a rugby scrum - I'm not used to fighting for my dinner so I just sat back and went without dinner that night. My husband fought his way through but it wasn't really worth it. The food was mediocre, re-hashed left overs and cheap, filling food. The conference/team event organisers had obviously paid a set fee and the hotel just wanted to feed them without any finesse. I understand their point of view but those of us who were not part of this event shouldn't have been lumped in with them.. The moral of this is that if you're planning to stay here (or another Hungarian hotel for that matter) check beforehand that there isn't such and event planned while you intend to visit because you'll be sidelined.
Having said all that we would still visit again but would be a little more circumspect and check more closely before booking.
