One week stay at Hotel San Michele for our wedding
Pros:

We stayed at Hotel San Michele in Cortona for one week for our wedding. The hotel was in an excellent town centre location. We booked & stayed in room 218 Suite Terraza, the view from the terrace was terrific, the room was spacious, comfortable, with excellent air conditioning, with; a fridge & refreshment making facilities, plenty of clothes storage space, seating & two tvs. All staff at the hotel. from reception, breakfast & housekeeping, were knowledgeable, friendly, approachable & helpful & made us feel welcome & were genuinely interested in us & not just as paying customers. The hotel was clean & well appointed. Car parking was available at an extra cost, however, this was not expensive & was essential due to the TLZ in the town & the fact that most other hotels did not have a car park facility.

Cons:

Room 218 is one of the rooms in the hotel which does not have a walk in stand up shower due to to the design of the sloping ceiling bathroom & due to the age of the hotel,however, there was a telephone shower in the jacuzzi bath . However, this is not a criticism.

Perfect location in an excellent hotel!!
Pros:

The hotel was excellently situated near the main square, in easy range of the bus stop to the railway station at Camucia Cortona tickets 1.30 euro. The air conditioning was excellent and the hotel had everything we needed including its own bar, our room was spotless and the breakfast was perfect. The staff were lovely, ask for a map, they gave us lots of local information.

We couldn’t have asked for more.

Great break in Cortona
Pros:

Position in town was great,once we'd climbed the hill. Glad we didn't try to negotiate driving , we parked in the free car park at the bottom.
Complimentary water in the fridge was a nice touch

Cons:

Sunk plug not working very well.
No proper cups for tea and coffee just tiny little paper ones.
Chairs not very comfortable .
Not enough adapters for plugs .

It’s a friendly, clean and perfect place to stay, especially with its decore which adds to the whole ambience of Cortona
Pros:

The location is fantastic. We loved the buffet breakfast each morning in the charming dining room. The staff were so helpful, courteous and friendly. Our room had a great view of the bell tower and out further across the valley. It had a large great room were you sit with friends in the evening for a chat which was a bonus. All round it’s a really great choice for a hotel in Cortona which you won’t regret.

Pros:

This was our first time in Cortona. The hotel is perfectly situated. The room was fantastic and the staff incredible. The breakfast was also very very tasty.
