Pros:

The proprietor's welcome. The spacious Room 401 and sunshine afternoons are decorated with real class. This is a boutique hotel in the heart of this lovely William Penn city. Location to make a pilgrimage to many of the great American 'shrines', Independence Hall, visit the Liberty bell, the Museum the amazing Reading Terminal Market, all are in walking distance. Dining? Go no further than Talula's Garden restaurant half a block away.As one might expect you get all the urban sounds of a big city though perhaps fewer sirens than Manhattan.

Cons:

Having to leave.

Perfect stay in a wonderful location.
Pros:

It was snowing when we arrived and immediately sat in front of the cozy fire in the parlor. This was our second “staycation” there - first was our honeymoon. As always the room was large and spotless, the breakfast abundant, and the location superb. Talulah’s Garden, our favorite Philly restaurant , is literally around the corner and Time, a great Jazz club with excellent food, a ten minute walk away. In the morning we strolled through Washington Square to tour the Atheneum. It was too cold to sit in the lovely garden but breakfast was served in front of the fire. This is the perfect way to experience historic Philadelphia at its finest.

Cons:

Nothing
