Easy stay in the capital
Pros:

Conveniently located for us between ferry and city. Apartment type facilities. Cool wee pool gym and spa/sauna room. Not high rise building but has a wee hill rise if walking up. Has valet and high tea on offer. Seems like a mix of people staying - 5 star rated but early booked pricing pretty reasonable.

Cons:

No late checkout or early check in - but able to leave luggage at both ends of stay which is handy. Park view is that but also has a few headstones too - might be unappealing to some. Some wear and tear visible.

Good choice for staying in Wellington - comfortable good size rooms and excellent staff.
Pros:

Good sized room with excellent amount of storage and very comfortable bed. Good size bathroom. Excellent facilities inc washing machine. Valet parking service was excellent. Location good for exploring Wellington centre as well as the botanical gardens.

Cons:

Rather meagre options on the breakfast buffet.

Super nice hotel - do not miss it if you have a stay in Wellington
Pros:

Really cool hotel with a lot of comfort. One stand out was the service provided second was the reception coffee shop. Great coffee to start your day with. Small fitness room having all the needed to “freshen up”. Lot of personality and carying for the guests.

Cons:

Nothing

A great place to stay, close enough to walk to the Waterfront yet out of the way enough to be quieter
Pros:

Studio was spacious, clean, comfortable and quiet.

Great hotel but poor breakfast on offer.
Pros:

Beautiful decor, comfortable and friendly, professional staff. Central to all activities (20 min walk) including Te Papa, Queens Wharf and TSB Stadium.

Cons:

Breakfast was poor. Rubbery scrambled eggs, cold hard hash browns and not enough variety. No pancakes or waffles on offer.

Fruit small and stingy. More for a toddler or a convelescents home.

Wonderful stay
Pros:

Loved the hotel itself. Our twin deluxe room was perfect for my daughter, hubby and I.
We prebooked parking which was fantastic having a valet park the car, otherwise not a lot of parking around. Daughter used the pool and loved it. Close walk to town. Would rebook.

Gutes Hotel mit gutem Preis Leistungsverhältnis. Zu empfehlen.
Pros:

Centrally located and spacious hotel. Not bad for the price
Pros:

Nice and central and clean enough. Our room was very spacious

Cons:

housekeeping didn’t get to us until about 5pm, at which point we were already back in our hotel room and not keen to leave for a while. There were also trays of room service dishes from other people’s rooms that had been left in the hallway but the were not collected for the entire day.

Great hotel and facilities
Pros:

The hotel is well situated and relatively quiet except for the refuse collection at 3.30am! Valet parking was really good and we enjoyed the continental breakfast. They also do a chefs platter + 2 glasses of wine in mid-afternoon which was great value. The size of the room was also really good with plenty of space.

Cons:

It’s a personal thing but the bed was a little soft.

Don’t stay here, you’ll be disappointed!
Pros:

The location to Sky Stadium, it’s well within walking distance.

Cons:

The lack of transparency in their hotel policies led to me being accused of stealing before I had even received a card to my room upon check in, because I did not have a credit card to present to be assigned to my room, only a visa debit card. This hotel charges a bond for those staying without a credit card of $100 which was fine and upfront payment (again fine) but the reasoning being to ensure that I did not steal a bed or TV as advised bluntly by staff was disgusting.

We paid for a premier studio, and there was nothing premier about this hotel. Our room had mould in the bathroom, the bedding had the most bare minimum of bedding and was very hard. The views over Thordon Hills did not exist with your premier room!

Book room service if you want overpriced and underwhelming food, and I’d definitely encourage the overpriced and under supplied FULL hot buffet breakfast. You will not get service or value for your hard earned dollar here. This is not what 5 star hotels offer and at best I’d rate this a 3 star hotel. Parking is atrocious if you are not one of the few that can get parking!

On top of all of that, you will have to wait an excessive amount of time to have your room inspected to ensure you have not stolen the tv or bed prior to your departure if you want to get back your bond!
