Metropark Hotel Shenzhen

I’ve stayed in this hotel many times before, but many years ago. It is in the help of all the shopping and eating, so the location is 10 out of 10. However, this time I decided to stay with them again. But the hotel is looking super rundown and the hallways and rooms smells like rotten egg. I unfortunately will not be staying at this hotel again.

Great location, helpful staff. Very convenient, metro is literally underneath the hotel and it’s surrounded by thousands of shops.

Location ideal for my needs and interests. Sit above the subway, great value, spacious room like a mini sweet with kitchette. Maid was very happy person.

Booking record show confirmed with breakfast but hotel do not have record. It is a screw-up between Hotel, com and Metropark.

Despite old-fashioned interior design, the room’s condition was satisfactory. Quite spacious for couple, cleanliness was fairly good. The high point bonus was its strategic location in this area complemented with its underneath metro station. It was very convenient to travel to commercial districts and airport. The fare was also very cheap. Overall, it was very pleasant stay in Metropark.

The room type I booked still not available even I checked in the late afternoon time. The staff is nice to change a similar type of room for us.

Overall we were happy with our stay at Metropark Hotel. Very convenient to take the lift straight down to Shaibu Metro and a lot of shops and restaurants nearby. The room was large and comfortable. They can improve by providing some plates which could be used in the microwave oven. Some teaspoons or stirrers would make it easier when we made our coffee.

Located on top of the Metro, near the food street and the malls. Basically, it is in the heart of all things.

Stayed for 2 nights from 5th Oct 2019,we were offered room 606 & it was huge!!
Plenty of room for my kids to run around & we absolutely loved it.
Very clean & quiet.
We'll be staying again (3rd time) for 3 nights on Boxing day & we're all looking forward to it.

People smoke on non-smoking floors with doors open. Smokes were in the air system. Even though we were supposed to be in non- smoking rooms, it still filled with smoke smells and allergens which made all of us sick with some kind of respiratory allergic reactions, such as eyes, nose, throat irritations, itchiness, and coughing. Non-smoking signs were posted, but no policy, such as fines, used to stop smoking violations. House keeping can be better.

Great location with big room, however, the room is pretty run down...

The 1 bed suite was spacious but poorly designed. The bathroom door comes very close to the toilet. You can't sit down on the toilet until you close the door. There is a wrapped around desk in the bedroom but the corner comes very close to the bed. When you get up in the night, you have to be very careful if you don't want your knees to bump into the bed or desk. The room has one night stand so I had to use the chair as a nightstand. The entire room is very dimmed and makes you feel very depressed. The hotel is in great need of an update!
The hotel is just above the Shiabu metro station and it is close to local shopping area.
For the price paid, it is a decent hotel but I won't go back again!

Room and Location good but amenities not enough, only few things in the toilets, no bath things in the toilet, room need double protection for noise proof. room located in the main rood side, therefore need double protection.

The hotel was better than I expected, before the trip I was reading the comments here and it turns out to be a fine experience for me. First, the hotel location is great just right above the SaiBu metro station(exit A2)which you can take a lift straight up your hotel room. Second, there are a lot of food options within the hotel vicinity, HDL is diagonal across the hotel in the Maoye shopping mall. Third, its a walking distance to the famous DongMen shopping street.

The hotel staff are decent and greeted us when we are taking lift. The hotel room is huge and in fact its basically a suite, it has a living room and a bedroom. The decoration and fixture are pretty outdated, beds are really hard but was given a choice to select from a range of pillows.

You get an old suite for a room rate. If you don’t know Chinese, you are killed.

Convenient location to places to eat and shop, and direct exit (A2) from Shaibu MTR. Rooms were big and clean though the toilet was a little small. Staff were friendly and helpful. Luggage storage service could have be better. There were 6 of us with 12 luggages after check-out, yet we were just asked to leave them in the lobby and doesn't seem very secure (1 luggage tag for the 12 bags). It is only upon prompting that the staff took a filmsy string to tie the luggages together.

I like the room, very clean, but I see have Kitchen but no facilities to cook. Also Internet very poor

This location is advertised as being 3 mins of drive from commercial city/shopping area. where it takes over 15 mins to get there by car. Imagine all your shopping items in hand waiting for cab to take you back and then fork over quite a bit for cab. not cool.
EXPEDIA didnt help at all with the extreme disappointment and false info.

Hotel was not up to 4 star standard.

Booked a 2 bedroom suite with 2 bathrooms, a kitchen, a sofa bed for 2 nights for less than $80 via Agoda.

PLUS:
- Amazing value. Very big rooms with complete, high-quality amenities and toiletries for just $78.
- Location. It’s directly connected to Shaibu Metro station with its own elevator in the basement.
- Food court is located at the basement, easy walking distance to Dong Men Shopping Street
- Effortless check-in and check-out

MINUS:
- Design is a little dated.
- We stayed at the 7th floor but in my room I can hear the street sounds below, horns, car alarms, people shouting. Don’t know about the other room.
- Front desk staff can use a little warmth and friendliness.
