The staff were very friendly and welcoming. The natural juice served at the entrance was delicious. The team was kind and attentive, and the view of Sigiriya Rock was absolutely amazing!
There were many small flying insects around, which was quite disturbing in the evening.
Staff was really nice and helpful. They go above and beyond to help you with everything. Always with a smile in their faces.

Entry road was not good. Breakfast was not upto mark.
For starters the view from our room was excellent. Such great value. Breakfast was delicious, both the Sri Lanakan and western. Staff and Rocky (you'll understand), were very welcoming. Close to Sigirya Rock and it's possible to walk to the entrance if you dont have a driver. Its a little away from the main strip, but there are some great restaurants along the road.

Based on the great reviews we booked this hotel for a 2 night stay with 5 people. Unfortunately this stay was a disappointment. I really dont like writing a bad review (and I have never done it before) but in this case I want other travellers to know about our experience.
When we arrived the manager asked us to pay straight away (which is ok). After walking us to the rooms he suddenly said they were overbooked and only had 2 rooms instead of 3. He arranged a family room for us so we could all stay. Even though he had just asked us to pay the full amount. We received no apologies at all. We were a bit startled at first and the next morning asked for the price of the missing room to be discounted from the total price. The manager proposed to give us free breakfast, but that did not come close to the price of the room so we had to push to get the discount. Eventually after our driver talked to the manager he finally agreed to give us the discount. He said he would have to cancel the whole booking at booking.com to do this. Which ofcourse means the hotel doesnt have to pay the service fee to booking.com.
About the hotel itself: the rooms were like the pictures so they were fine. However they were not clean. We showed pictures of a very moldy bathroom to the manager and the manager said they would clean it the next day (again no apologies or any sign that this was not good). The next day he said they cleaned the room, however we honestly didnt see a difference. Greasy/moldy shower and hairs & stains in the bedroom, fridge dirty. The worst part.. we found a bedbug in one of the beds!!! We found out on the morning we left and when we showed the manager a picture he didnt respond at all. We will now have to wash all of our stuff and he didnt seem to care.
The swimming pool is a bit outdated. Didnt look very clean and the beds are very old/rusty.
The staff didnt speak English so it was difficult to understand each other when ordering dinner.

The hotel is situated on the edge of the town near a rice field with a stunning view of the rock of Sigiriya. The room and bed were comfortable and breakfast was very good. I stayed one night. There were squirrels and beautiful birds in the hotel compound, and the owner was very friendly and welcoming. I highly recommend this hotel.

Everything was brilliant especially the breakfast! The staff were all fabulous really friendly helpful and kind. They drove us into town for dinner and collected again as wild elephants are in the area. Pool was fab after a hot day up lions rock. They also organised our trips and taxis. Totally recommend!

So relaxing here and the view was nice. Food was excellent and the staff were friendly and so accommodating. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.

everything was great, exactly how I supposed to. The rooms were clean, personel was helpful, the bathrooms were equipped higher than I expected. I am giving 9 of 10 because of the food. of course fruits on Sri Lanka are great, but meats, eggs and stuff like that are far from the highest level, but if someone like the Lankan breakfast, will be delighted, too.
