Beautiful hotel, service is amazing, pool area is so relaxing, spotless, quiet. A very enjoyable break form the real world.
Visiting Savannah for the very first time. Hotel Bardo
seemed to be in a good location and had great reviews. And what a wonderful place this is! Like an oasis in the city. Our suite is fabulous. The pool and pool staff are excellent. Front desk staff, especially Rik, are above and beyond helpful. And the restaurant is excellent as well. All good!!! Oh - and the city is wonderful too!
I’ve been to numerous hotels in Savannah and Hotel Bardo is the best. Pure 5 star experience - rooms are large, staff is friendly, and it’s right across from Forsyth Park. Plus the pool is worth it alone. If you’re going to Savannah stay here - you won’t be disappointed.
Great place to chill and enjoy Savannah! Great amenities!! Yoga was fantastic. Pool is so nice. Complementary bikes were very good. Super nice facilities!! Definitely going back!
Best girls trip yet! The pool, the club, housekeeping… everything was beautiful and easy. The staff was so friendly, the atmosphere was perfect, and we truly got to relax and enjoy every minute together. Can’t wait to come back!
Amazing time in Savannah. The hotel is beautifully appointed with thoughtful amenities throughout, but what really stood out was the service. The team made us feel genuinely welcomed from the moment we arrived and by the end of the stay we were all on a first name basis. You can tell there’s a real sense of hospitality and care behind everything they do. Also, don’t skip the gelato… trust me. Already looking forward to the next trip back!
Comfortable, beautifully designed, great staff, quiet rooms
Non residents can be club members and use the pool; as a result it was extremely busy and noisy on the Sunday when we were there
We stayed here for a long girls weekend in hopes of a great experience. There were a lot of ups and some downs as well. Let’s start with the downs:
1. The first room we received, the tub spout was coming off the tile wall and the tub was not draining either while showering. Also, there was water damage on the ceiling that I pointed out in case there was a bigger issue happening above as well (possible mold present). We reported everything to guest services before heading out to breakfast and they attempted to fix at least the ceiling while we were gone by applying spackle patch. Spackle was left all over the tub and all over our personal shower toiletries that were still present in the bathroom/shower. They were kind enough to give us another room and provided $100 voucher for food and beverages for Bar bibi for the troubles.
We were shaking it off in hopes of continuing to have a better stay.
2. Well the pool staff charged me for drinks that were not ours (mixing us up with a reserved cabana group, that was not even present when we started our bill-not sure how this even happened). Also, we had ordered food, but never received it. We found our food was delivered to that cabana too (we were sitting near the Cabana, but not part of that group), and the staff then attempted to give it to us after it had been sitting in that cabana for about 45 mins (bc the people-from some convention being hosted at the hotel/who reserved the cabana-told us it had been sitting there for almost an hour and they didn’t know who it belonged to) I asked for it to be remade and they let me know they were not going to charge me for it due to the mix up. But charged me for it anyway, which is fine.
Again, trying to chop it up to they’re busy, and I just paid for the food.
3. There were numerous times I called down to the guest services and it continued to ring without anyone answering. I asked for bath towels at the front desk before heading to the room one day. They told me they would have someone bring them up. Almost an hour later I called the front desk to ask about the towels and no one answered the phone. I had to call two additional times to get someone to answer. I would have grabbed them at the desk if that would have been easier.
4. Checking out this morning, I reviewed my bill and the $100 voucher from the prior room issues was never applied. I had a small back and forth exchange with the desk services on how it wasn’t applied. She saw the notes from
another person stating the voucher, however, kept insisting it was somehow applied on the back end (which it wasn’t). She informed me that she would print another copy of the bill so she could show me the break down. Which consisted of her proceeding to apply the voucher credit and give me an updated bill. I hope to God that I get billed correctly on the backend.
The Ups:
1. Franklin, your courtesy driver. Amazing and very professional. Drove us to several locations during our trips and even assisted with a dinner reservation. Above and beyond.
2 Carly and Jack at Club Bardo. Created a great experience-very courteous and professional. Shared stories about the history and gave great recommendations on food and desserts.
3. The ground/pool area were beautiful and well kept. What an amazing place to relax and sit by the pool. Having a location across from Forsyth park was also beautiful.
Based on the experience, 5 stars hotel is a stretch. I’m sure this isn’t everyone’s experience, but I was pretty bummed for it to be ours.
I would recommend more attention to detail and better training practices and standards.
This was our second stay at Hotel Bardo, and somehow it was even better than the first. We stayed for five days and brought our puppy along this time, which made the trip even more special.
Everything about this hotel feels thoughtful and elevated. The rooms are incredibly comfortable, beautifully designed, and have such a relaxing atmosphere. The pool remains our favorite part of the property — peaceful, stunning, and the perfect place to unwind after exploring Savannah.
I also surprised my wife with a spa visit at Saltgrass Spa, and she said it was the best spa experience she’s ever had.
What truly sets Hotel Bardo apart, though, is the staff. Every person we interacted with was warm, attentive, and genuinely hospitable. The level of service here is rare to find and is the biggest reason we keep coming back.
We really enjoyed our mother/daughter birthday trip at the beautiful Hotel Bardo. The location, across from Forsyth Park is so lovely and we were able to walk to the shops we wanted to visit. We were warmly greeted by check-in staff and any of our requests were quickly taken care of. The pool/bar area is the star of the facility in my opinion. Our room was large, clean and quiet. We were put in a large accessible room for some reason (maybe 3 women?) which was fine except there was only a view of large mechanical equipment on the roof of the adjoining structure. That was disappointing as well as the lack of any drawers in the room to put away our clothes. Not sure if the lack of drawers is an issue with any of the other rooms and only in the accessible room. The hotel provides a complimentary car service to take you within a couple of miles of the facility. During our stay, the driver was unavailable, so the hotel provided complimentary Uber service. This was helpful to go to restaurants for our dinner reservations. It was a lovely hotel and we enjoyed our stay!
I booked a personal training session with Keegan Hudson to prepare for a fitness competition. Keegan had great ideas on additional exercises I could add to my training and provided guidance on various gym equipment that could help me prepare for the event. Great session!
I recently had the pleasure of staying at Hotel Bardo Savannah this past weekend, and the experience exceeded expectations in every way.
From the moment I arrived, the service was truly outstanding. Every team member I encountered was warm, attentive, and genuinely committed to making guests feel welcomed and valued. It’s clear that hospitality is at the heart of everything they do.
The rooms are beautifully designed and thoughtfully appointed, blending comfort with a refined, modern aesthetic. Every detail—from the bedding to the finishes felt intentional and elevated, making it easy to relax and unwind. The food was equally impressive. Each meal was delicious, well-executed, and reflective of a high-quality culinary program. Whether dining casually or enjoying a more elevated experience, the consistency and flavor stood out. What truly sets Hotel Bardo apart, though, is the warmth of the staff. Their friendliness and professionalism create an atmosphere that feels both luxurious and personal a rare combination.
I would absolutely recommend Hotel Bardo to anyone visiting the area and look forward to returning soon.
Lovely relaxed atmosphere. Clean and spacious rooms. Friendly attentive staff. Love the cologne at check-in and honeysuckle terraces
I had a fantastic experience at Hotel Bardo while on a business trip, it felt like a true oasis. Great location overlooking the big park, Forsyth. The pool was just a little too cold in February to interest me, but it looked amazing. I dined at Saint Bibiana, food was delicious. I also had a personal training session with Keegan, he was awesome and really added something special to the stay.
Rooms left me cool. Nothing special about them. Very bland. Not cozy, not even well appointed. No art, very showroom-floor. A showroom from maybe 15 years ago. Was not impressed.
The Bardo Hotel in Savannah is absolutely gorgeous. Some of my favorite areas are the very stylish atrium, the colorful pool area, and the restaurant, St Bibiana. We have had dinners and brunches there and have always enjoyed the experiences, the food, the wine, and the service. I would like to give special acknowledgement to Keegan Hudson who is a fantastic personal trainer in their health club. He is extremely professional, knowledgeable and approachable. The Bardo is located just across the street from beautiful Forsyth Park.
The hotel was phenomenal, our stay was simple and beautiful. The outside area is very nice and the interior design of the hotel is great. The service was also very nice particularly Keegan Hudson who was our instructor for morning class. The valet was also wonderful but we sadly did not get name.
I wanted to give a special shoutout to Keegan, a wonderful personal trainer at the Hotel Bardo Savannah. He is consistently personable, friendly, and genuinely kind. Even though I wasn’t a direct client of his, he always greeted me warmly and went out of his way to learn my name and make me feel welcome.
That level of attentiveness and care is exactly what you hope to experience at a luxury property, and Keegan truly embodies it. His approach left a lasting impression and elevated my overall experience at the hotel.
Had an amazing stay. The front desk staff was wonderful. The concierge so helpful. We even used the hotels personal trainer Keegan Hudson who was great!
