We all gut covid and could not come. It was terrible as this was the high light of our trip
Breakfast was excellent! Our delivery person created a beautiful set up display. She really cared about doing things right, being professional and providing excellent service. She deserves recognition for a job well done above and beyond expectations. Only sorry I did not get her name. She both delivered and picked up our breakfast.
Three days was not enough time to enjoy all the amenities provided at your location.
We do tentatively plan to return during another season, maybe in the Winter next year.
Lovely hotel- decor nice staff friendly pool area great for my 7 year old
The associated restaurant Saint Bibiana was another story- the food was… to be kind, as a respected traveler to and from Italy numerous times, …..horrendous. Stuffed arancini balls with BBQ chx??? Bruschetta with Brussels sprouts? Sorry- No.
Not worth the $$$$. This was a true pass!
I had a really pleasant stay at this hotel. The atmosphere is warm and welcoming, making it a great place to relax. The food was delicious with good quality and variety, and everything was very clean and well maintained. What stood out the most was the staff — everyone was extremely friendly, polite, and always ready to help. Overall, it was a comfortable and enjoyable experience
Classic hotel with a team that knows how to deliver true hospitality. Hannah is a pro at packing a car! Room was lovely but smaller than expected. Ask for one with a larger seating area.
Clean, spacious, in a great location
The main restaurant was mediocre
My friends and I couldn't have been happier with our experience at Hotel Bardo. When we stepped in, we saw a stunning courtyard in the center with Christmas decorations. Everything has been thought of carefully, from amenities to design details. It's a boutique hotel with amply sized rooms. Our room had a view of the Forsyth Park, which I think is totally worth the extra charge. The decor and furnishings are so elegant and art deco. The bed is comfortable as well as the pillows. Huge bathroom with double sinks and soaker tub and a large shower. I loved that they offer a steamer instead of an iron and Dyson hair dryer. The courtyard was beautifully decorated for the holidays as well as the pool area. I would love to go back in warmer season to hang around the pool. The bar/lounge in the hotel is a great space to hang out and the drink are great! One of the highlights of the stay was the Saint Bibiana restaurant. It's not quite attached to the hotel, but it's right next door. They have a beautiful dining room, but the service and decor weren't stuffy. My friends and I loved their brunch and also enjoyed going there after dinner out in town for evening tea and a night cap. We also tried the olive oil citrus cake for dessert, which was noteworthy. The only thing that didn't quite work out was our yoga class. We made a reservation for yoga a few weeks ago when we booked our stay. But when we arrived, the room was quite packed. It was in the wine room above Saint Bibiana, which was quite charming but not really a space for yoga. There was a huge fire place in the middle of the room, so any mats behind the fireplace would not be able to see the instructor. Considering how closely the mats were laid out, it was too close for comfort. My two other friends were running late and I noticed only one mat available. So my friend and I decided to leave. As we were leaving, another person was going in! So either they overbooked or people just show up without a reservation. I think it would be best for the instructor to get a list of people who made a reservation and check them in. Honestly, the room should only have about 4-5 people for yoga. However, not going to yoga gave us more time to explore Savannah, so that worked out. The hotel has a beautiful and well-equipped gym as well. In the morning, you will find coffee/tea and baked goods in the lounge, but I highly recommend going to Saint Bibiana for breakfast/brunch if you have the time. The hotel has adjoining rooms, so you can hear the noise next door. There was a rowdy group next door but thankfully the noise ended around midnight. I was able to hear someone next door blowing his nose in the morning. But there are worse things you could hear.
I've stayed at many fine hotels around the world, but Hotel Bardo was certainly a memorable stay. By the way, I loved that the hotel concierge contacted you before you arrived via call, email, and even text. They also gave you an option to check in ahead of time. I was able to text with the hotel when I had an issue with the bill. I was impressed that I was sent an email asking to rate the service and list any issues BEFORE I checked out. Not that there was anything wrong, but I'm sure they would have addressed it immediately if there were any problems. Thank you for the wonderful service and hospitality. I look forward to returning in the near future.
Loved our stay! Beautiful hotel, all amenities - tub was wonderfu to use after a long day of walking)l
And we can mot forget the wonderful people - esopcially Hannah our valet!
Thank you for making our anniversary special.
We had an amazing stay at Hotel Bardo for my birthday celebration!
Check-in and check-out with Giovani were incredibly smooth — she made everything easy and welcoming from start to finish.
We also had a wonderful experience at Saint Bibiana. Kristin took such great care of us, and her service truly made our dinner special.
We loved everything about our stay and can’t wait to come back!
Minimamente escandaloso.
A lovely hotel. Excellent design and beautifully decorated. The staff are amazing. Also must visit the restaurant Saint Bibiana.
The room was clean, well-decorated and comfortable. All the staff were attentive and polite. We loved it!
Everything was clean, well-organized, and comfortable. The hotel is beautiful, and all the staff are attentive and kind.
Location
Overpriced
Hotel Bardo exceeded every expectation and made our Savannah trip truly special. We stayed in one of the family suites, which was absolutely ideal for traveling with kids. The bunk beds were a huge hit, the living room was spacious and beautifully designed, and the bathroom was enormous—easily one of the largest and most comfortable we’ve had in any hotel. The highlight of the suite, though, was the oversized balcony overlooking the pool. It gave us a private perch to relax, unwind, and enjoy the energy of the property without ever feeling crowded.
The location couldn’t be better. Nestled right along the edge of the historic district and just steps from Forsyth Park, the hotel offers the perfect blend of charm and convenience. We loved being close to Savannah’s gorgeous squares and neighborhoods while still feeling removed from the more tourist-heavy waterfront area.
Dining at St. Bibiana was another standout of our stay. The food was exceptional—elevated without being pretentious—and the service was warm, attentive, and genuinely welcoming. Whether we were grabbing breakfast before exploring the city or sitting down for dinner, every meal was memorable.
Across the board, the staff made everything feel effortless. The hospitality was thoughtful and consistent, and every interaction reinforced the sense that this is a well-run, guest-focused property.
Hotel Bardo is the perfect mix of luxury, comfort, and Savannah charm. Our family can’t wait to come back and stay again. Highly recommended.
Did the cooking class there with Chef Benjamin. Outstanding experience! We created a four course meal with 2 fresh pastas, an incredible Caesar salad and gelato. I cannot believe I made such an incredible meal! Chef was personable, very informative and very helpful. I highly, highly recommend his class. I am a much more confident cook, especially with a Sicilian husband! Can't wait to do another class. Very well worth it!
