Needs A Remodel on Interior. 3.5 Star At Best

I recently booked two rooms at this hotel and, unfortunately, my experience was far from what I had hoped for. I booked the presidential suite room 201, and was extremely let down upon arrival. The room was outdated, showing signs of wear and tear that suggested it hadn’t been remodeled in decades. For the hefty price of $2,400 a night, I expected a much more luxurious and not dated room. My other room 101 was actually nicer and 1/2 the price.

After expressing my concerns, the staff did offer me a different room 105 that had been remodeled, although it was not a suite. While I appreciated the effort, it was disappointing to have to downgrade when I had specifically booked a suite for that price. They mentioned they would speak to the booking agency regarding the price difference or possibly cover my dinner as compensation. However, at the end of my stay, I was surprised to find that nothing was taken off my bill.

The hotel is situated in an amazing location. However, the outdated rooms and the lack of care from the staff left much to be desired. I felt that the staff didn’t prioritize guest satisfaction, which really detracted from the overall stay.

Overall, I cannot recommend this hotel unless significant changes are made to both the accommodations and the level of service. It’s a shame, as this place has so much potential in such a prime location. Knowing other real luxury resorts are near the area we will just stay there next year.

Excelente experiencia, personal muy dedicado a la satisfacción del cliente. La recepción fue muy cálida y profesional, la si instalaciones muy buenas. Las habitaciones amplias, muy luminosas, la cama muy buena y las almohadas perfectas para los que necesitamos almohadas bajas de pluma.

Unique location for this hotel.
Pros:

Good location to the Temples. Dinner with Temple view is special. Easy parking which was included. Outside cocktail bar with temple view was fun and relaxing.

Cons:

Check in process could be more efficient . Front desk direction regarding temple access and museum was confusing. Breakfast staff were slow and often didn’t wait on us like others. We did not get all of our order. Not worth extra for breakfast.

Amazing garden dinning experience
Pros:

We had dinner in the most beautiful garden overlooking the Concordia Temple. It's a set menu group dining experience provided by the hotel. Was an amazing atmosphere and our host Giovanni was incredibly warm, friendly with a great sense of humor. The food was good and plentiful. Massive portions. Nice to also dine with other guests and have pleasant conversation. Enjoyed our experience immensely. Highly recommend.

Amazing bbq with a touch of class
Pros:

We were lucky to run into Giovanni in the bar area and asked for a look at the menu. He said don’t worry about the menu but come have a look at this secret garden. Wow! It was an intimate bbq with wines included ~ hosted by an amazing warm and interesting individual. Giovanni made us feel special and together with his chef they provided a beautiful evening full of local delicacies and interesting stories. The restaurant might be good but ask for other options and you will not be disappointed.

A wonderful experience and relaxing stay!
Pros:

We had a wonderful stay! Villa Athena is a beautiful property and provided us with a tranquil and relaxed atmosphere. The entire staff were welcoming, friendly and attentive. We were on first floor with a terrace and the view of the grounds and Temple of Concordia were stunning. Dinner in the formal restaurant was outstanding. We also did the Orto Experience and thought it was wonderful! Giovanni, our host, was a delight! He was charming, funny and certainly made our experience a memorable one! Our room was a generous size, extremely clean and very well appointed. We truly enjoyed our stay.

Very pleasant stay
Pros:

We stayed here for one night after visiting the Valley of the Temples, which is not to be missed. This is a lovely boutique hotel. We had a comfortable room on the first floor with shutters that open to a terrace and a view of the temples. Dinner was excellent with an array of choices and very professional service, and a view of the temples, which are illuminated by footlights at night. Very memorable. There is a very nice pool area.
