No smoking room smells of smoke and mildew. Bathroom floor sticky. Very out dated. cheap enough but you get what you pay for. Beds very uncomfortable tiny fridge freezes food and can't use the microwave without blowing the breaker. The only savi g grace in woman at the front desk was very pleasant.
The bed was clean and comfortable... the room was in poor repair, less than adequate condition, and deteriorating - personnel were good and helpful.
This is my third time staying and really like the rooms we have been in. Staff are wonderful people. I would recommend them highly
Very nice front desk. Our room was fully accessible, clean, comfy bed, good A/C, fridge, micro. Plenty of ice. Good breakfast with apples, oranges, bananas, cereal, toaster waffles, muffins, juice.
If the prices in and around Hanover are insanely.inflated it has to do with Dartmouth college. I was there for something else but it was homecoming.and prices were simply unaffordable everywhere else and thankfully hotels.com had a good price here where even the super 8 site would have been a ripoff for this place. Ultimately, I can't fault this place for the price I paid. But WOW I have not ever stayed in a place with this much disrepair and neglect. I'm actually amazed the place is still functional. You can hear every thing outside as though there isn't even a door. I was woken up at 3am (I think) for a garbage pick up and I could have believed the garbage truck was right next to me. It was almost comical how loud that was. The staff were nice and kind. I only rate the service as poor because there's a sign in the room about how they wi only change the linens and towels every 3 days for the "environment" lol. And if I wanted to request it more often I would have to ask. Which I thought was ridiculous. Vs the common signs in hotels that request you as a customer to "consider the environment and reuse your linens so as to opt in to their money saving and environment posturing.
I would never stay here again but I would understand.how it would fit a budget and thanks to hotels.com it fit mine but if not for hotels.com price I would definitely have been livid for the expense.
Very old and tired buildings. Clean - but no room service between nights. Free breakfast very inadequate. Reservation / registration systems seem confused. VERY expensive compared to almost the name price for the other brands with units within a few 200 yards.
There was nasty black beetles crawling all over the outside of our room that would fly at you. Hardly anything at the breakfast. Rooms looked like they had never been deep cleaned. Probably mold growing in the bathroom.
Our room was grotty and in disrepair. The door knob in the bathroom was falling off, the tub had a patched up hole, the wall paper was tired, the floor dirty in crevices. The motel has a washer and dryer, but the washer leaks. I dropped some socks between the two machines while loading, knelt down, and then needed to add my pants to the load since they were soaked in mildewy water. These machines also only take quarters and the staff don't have change, so come with at least a four dollars in quarters if you want to wash clothes. The location is fine This is a beautiful part of the country. The rate is okay, I suppose. But you get what you pay for because this place is pretty bad overall. I've stayed in a wide range of accommodation options all over the world, and I'd give this place a failing grade overall. It needs renovation, machines that accept cards, and for the price, it would also help to have a mini fridge or microwave, which the rooms lack. I would not stay here again and will pay more next time to stay in a slightly nicer place.
Breakfast was great. Disappointed there was no fridge in the room, no extra blankets, it did get down to 28 degrees, also no extra towels, 1 of each for each of us. At almost $200.00 a night it was disappointing. Thank you Ellen Clark
We reserved four rooms and each one of them was either filthy, had stained sheets or was not ready upon arrival. One group ended up sleeping in the vehicle as they did not feel comfortable staying in the room. Do not recommend.
Easy checkin. Breakfast included. WiFi decent. Staff was courteous.
The one good thing I can say is that the woman who was managing the front desk in the evening was lovely. So nice and welcoming.
I walked into my room (#9) and immediately knew I couldn’t stay there. The smell of mildew and air freshener was overpowering. I have asthma and immediately felt my airways reacting. The beds were messy, the chair stained, the bathroom dirty. And they were charging my employer $200 for that night! It’s clear that whoever owns the motel is just extracting as much value as they can and deferring all of the maintenance. Do not stay here. I took my things back to my car and found another place to stay.
We stayed here on a leaf-peeping tour during peak season. Rates were very high in the area. The Super 8 was the most reasonable of the unreasonable! This is an older, though renovated, two.story motel located right across from a large hospital. It was basic, but very clean. Staff was friendly. There is a continental-style breakfast included. The rooms at the back of the motel have the best views and least road noise. Close to Queeche Activities, shops and restaurants.
Carpet smells, no mini frig or microwave in room, no lights in parking lot, damaged wrecked car taking up space in parking lot, no coffee machine in room, most expensive room on my 10 day trip( my error). Cannot believe Wyndham would put their name with this property.,Cannot believe Expedia recommended this location. Carpet in stairwells are absolutely filthy!
Perfect ski bum option. About Equal drives to okemo. Killy. Sugarbush. Stratton. Etc Great if you plan to stay flex able and chase snow
Very clean room, love that they allow pets, very friendly and they were very helpful answering my question about do they have discounts if your going to Dartmouth Hitchcock Hospital. Will be staying there again Just wished they had a mini frig.
A bit run down, bed was hard and uncomfortable. Property was dated. Did not get a good nights sleep.
Not sure why my partner chose this hotel as we were traveling the area. We will not make that mistake again.
I saw more than one online review stating this place was frequently chosen by tourists coming to enjoy the fall foliage and that it was an impressive free breakfast option. My room looked like it hadn’t been cleaned in a very long time. Leaves, small pieces of trash and debris on the carpet. Toothpaste splatters on the mirror, trash and toilet paper behind the door in the bathroom. Black spots (mold) on the floor in the bathroom. Every lampshade was fuzzy with dust, there were uncleared splatters on the wallpaper. There was something crusty and brown on the toilet handle. Breakfast was plain bagels, frozen waffles, dry cereal, apples and coffee. We didn’t stay. I get that it’s super 8. I can handle older furnishings, or things that need repair. But this level of dirty was disgusting. Also, I’m pretty sure the clerk was smoking weed in the back when we arrived.
My room had a musty smell that didn’t go away even after opening windows. The mattress on one of the beds was very soft and uncomfortable. The window was secured with a board stuck in the window track.
We saw the poor quality of the room and checked out. It was disgusting. There were stains on the rug and the furniture. The bathroom floor looked like nobody ever cleaned around the edges. The HVAC filters have never been vacuumed and we're spewing dust. The overall condition was worn out and smelly. The passageways reeked of pot. This is among the worst hotels I've been to.
