The Hotel Providence is a charming property right in the middle of the downtown arts district.
Pros:

The room was spacious and the bed was super comfortable, with lovely bright white sheets. The valet parking was expensive but the guys doing the job were very nice.

Cons:

Some, not all, of the people at the front desk didn't seem that psyched about their jobs. The $45 for valet parking seemed steep.

Pros:

I didn’t like anything about this place

Cons:

I didn’t like it because of its location - unhoused people outside about 30 of them standing around. Red stains on the hotel floor. Found a toe nail on the floor and shower was dirty.

Great location in downtown Providence
Pros:

This was my second time staying at Hotel Providence. It's a short walk to downtown and nearby attractions as well as Federal Hill and Providence's Little Italy. Great location and a great value.. and the property is lovely.

Cons:

The signage directing you to which elevator you need to take could be improved.

Pros:

The bed and overall room conditions were very nice and comfortable. I haven't had such a comfy bed in a very long time. The design is a bit dated but the furniture is in very good conditions and clean. The room was spacious.

Cons:

Nothing specifically to mention. I did notice the homless people across the street on my departure, but they did not seem to constitute an inconvenience.

Mixed Bag in great location.
Pros:

The staff were a mixed bag so and one in particular awesome others poor. Location fantastic. Coffee and goodies were nice touch. Room was comfortable!

Cons:

Fitness centre had too much broken equipment. Homeless shelter across road may put few people off but no real concern.

Charming historic hotel in a great downtown location
Pros:

Amazing historic hotel in a quaint part of downtown Providence. The staff was incredibly friendly and welcoming. The room was perfect for what I needed: a comfortable place to sleep while spending most of my time exploring the city. The bathroom and shower were both very nice.
The location is excellent, with plenty within walking distance and Johnson & Wales right around the corner. I imagine this would be an especially convenient hotel for parents visiting students there.
I used SpotHero for parking rather than the hotel valet and found a less expensive option nearby. I had no issues at all using that approach.
I didn’t have a chance to try the attached restaurant for dinner or breakfast, although the menu looked very good. Overall, I’d definitely stay here again when visiting Providence.

Cons:

The room was great for sleeping, but it wasn’t really a room I’d choose if I planned to spend a lot of time relaxing at the hotel.
The attached restaurant and bar also close significantly earlier than some of the surrounding bars and restaurants, which was a little disappointing. My biggest surprise was that there wasn’t coffee available for hotel guests in the morning, only tea. Having complimentary morning coffee would have made the stay even better.
