I stayed at the Clayton Hotel Denver for a business trip and unfortunately had one of the worst hotel experiences I’ve ever encountered.

On the night of April 20th–21st, I was abruptly awakened around 1:00 AM by what sounded like industrial hammer drilling. The noise continued intermittently until nearly 5:00 AM, making it absolutely impossible to sleep.

I immediately reported the issue to the front desk, and the staff member assured me that the incident would be logged. However, at checkout I was told no record of my complaint existed, which is unacceptable for a hotel positioning itself as a premium property.

I later submitted a formal complaint and provided an audio recording of the disturbance. Despite this, the hotel offered only a minimal refund of an amenity fee—an amount that didn’t even go to me personally, as the booking was prepaid through my company. No compensation whatsoever was provided for the night that was completely ruined, nor for the impact on my rest and work commitments the following day.

The handling of the situation was slow, evasive, and ultimately dismissive. Instead of taking responsibility, the hotel shifted the burden onto third parties and avoided addressing the core issue.

For a hotel that markets itself as upscale, the operational failure, lack of accountability, and inadequate customer care were deeply disappointing. I cannot recommend this property to anyone traveling for business or expecting a reliable night’s rest.

P.S. I also have an audio recording of the noise from that night, and I am fully available to share it with TripAdvisor or any interested party to verify the severity of the disturbance.

The location has a great upscale parlour for getting work done and the rooms are nice. In the base of the hotel there are some great restaurants so you don't have to go far for good food. The biggest standout with the property though is the staff. Their staff are extremely attentive, friendly and helpful with anything you could possibly need.

The Clayton Club is a wonderful place to work and connect. The atmosphere is calm, welcoming, and thoughtfully laid out for both productivity and meaningful conversation. The staff is friendly and attentive, which makes every visit enjoyable. It’s a great space for both professional meetings and building personal connections!

Excellent experience, super friendly staff. Joe was engaged and welcoming. Will certainly be back to enjoy more positive experiences. strongly recommend to all who visit Cherry Creek. Cherry Creek is a beautiful place, clean friendly safe with multiple restaurants nearby.

Clayton is World Class! From the moment you walk in it gives a Welcome Home feel with cozy comfort and fantastic food outlets to choose from. Loved it!

My wife and I recently visited the hotel and had dinner at Alteno. Great vibe. Crisp and modern without feeling like it is trying too hard. After dinner I casually mentioned to the hotel staff that my young son's name was Clayton and they gave me a shirt for him. Nice touch!

Excellent experience all around. Arrival experience was very smooth and facilities were incredible. We enjoyed lunch on the second floor while there and the fish sandwich was delicious! Also loved the rooftop pool and cozy seating areas, can’t wait to return soon!

As a member of the club, I love coming here to work, but I also love all the events they put on that allow members to meet each other and connect. The staff is the best part of the place, everyone is so kind and genuine and I feel really taken care of. The restaurants are great, especially the 6th floor. Couldn't recommend more!

We had an exceptional stay at this hotel. The atmosphere strikes the perfect balance: it feels incredibly luxurious, yet stays comfortable and welcoming. The rooms are nothing short of phenomenal—meticulously designed.

The highlight of our visit was definitely the dining and social scene. Kara, Marcos, and Nick at the restaurant/club are a dream team! They were attentive, kind, and brought such a fun energy to our encounters.

I also highly recommend checking out the Member’s Club. It’s such a unique offering for those looking to build community and make great connections. The entire staff is pleasant and professional—we couldn’t have asked for a better experience!

The Clayton was such a cool spot. I had heard good things about the gym and it didn't disappoint. I was blown away by the attentiveness of the staff and the rooms were well appointed and felt like home. I'll definitely come back the next time I'm in Denver. Highly recommend!

I’ve been a member at Clayton Hotel & Members Club for a while now, and it just keeps getting better. The addition of the MakeReady team has been a fantastic evolution - their energy and attention to detail really show in everything they’re doing. The events lately have been especially standout - thoughtfully curated, well-executed, and genuinely fun to be a part of.

What really makes this place special, though, are the people. Cara, AB, Charlie, Joe, Nick, AJ, Fran, Therissa, Kat, and honestly the entire team, go out of their way to create an environment that feels warm, welcoming, and personal. It truly feels like a home away from home.

The rooms are lovely and comfortable, and I love having friends stay there because I know they’ll have a great experience from start to finish.

If you’re considering joining, I can’t recommend it enough. It’s more than just a membership, a place to work, events to enjoy, it’s a community.

We hosted my baby shower at the Clayton Hotel Rooftop and truly couldn’t have asked for a better experience. From start to finish, everything was seamless for our group of 18. The space itself is beautiful, the food and drinks were fantastic, and the entire team made us feel so well taken care of.

A special thank you to Nick, who went above and beyond to ensure every detail was perfect. He made the whole day feel effortless and truly special. We’re so grateful and would highly recommend this space for any event!

We've been to the Clayton twice now and had an amazing time both times! From the staff, ambiance and rooms, everything is a wonderful experience. The rooftop pool and bar are AMAZING. We booked a junior suite and it was spacious, comfortable and well-appointed. The location is hard to beat as well, only 10 minutes from to Ball Arena or the Bronco's stadium by car (we stayed here for an Avs game and a Broncos game), or an easy 20-30 min bike ride in nice weather. Plenty of great restaurants within a 5 minute walk as well. We will be back for sure!

We were very tired from a transatlantic flight when we arrived. We went to the rooftop bar/restaurant for a glass of wine and light dinner. Cole waited on us and he was terrific. He was engaging, proficient and made us feel special. We were returning to Denver after living in Portugal for 2+ years and Cole helped us ease into this transition.

I attended a work conference in Denver last week & we had an event at The Clayton Club! It was my first time visiting this location & I was highly impressed! The staff at the front desk were friendly & kind greeting us with a smile & eagerness to help. They could tell we seemed a bit lost as we arrived & quickly anticipated our needs, pointing us in the right direction. The decor of the lobby area was very warm & inviting & created a sense of gathering. It would be the perfect spot to relax over conversation, a book, or coffee. The rooftop was where the fun started! We were again welcomed by friendly faces, who seemed excited to have us in their space. The bar had such a lively & energetic, creating an atmosphere where we could vibe to the music but also engage in good conversation. I had an Old Fashioned made with Bourbon, and it was perfectly executed by the bartender, who told me his name, but I can't quite remember what it was! Huge thank you for making this drink to my liking! I ended up pulling an Irish goodbye as the night was getting late & being on Oahu time, I was ready for bed before a long day. On my way out I bumped into the General Manager, Colter, who inquired about my experience & wished me a fun farewell. It was a very good experience from start to finish & the next time I am in Denver, I am going to stay at this property!
