Hotel Amón Real

love this place

I have never wanted to say anything that was not good about a hotel but this has to get better. It was noisy so loud all night the walls were dirty. My shower filled up to you could not take a shower at least over a minute because the water slow going down the drain, the people were nice. They allow me to change rooms, but it was no better than the room they gave me. I was really disappointed. I will not go back there.

Hotel is clean and safe. Breakfast has limited options. The staff is very friendly and accommodating.

Le urge mantenimiento

The building itself is nice but it is in need of a restoration. My room was spacious, but the beds were saggy and there's no air conditioner. The curtain does not cover the window completely so anybody in the hallway can look inside which is strange. They do have a strict rule of not allowing guests into the hotel. On a side note, they don't give you hand towels unless you ask for it. On the whole, my stay there was just ok, nothing really good or bad, that's the reason for an average rating.

Les photos démontrent bien les lieux. Ce que je n’ai pas aimé est la propreté de notre chambre; tâches de moisissures au plafond et tâches de détergent sur le lit. La dame à la réception a été très gentille et elle est venu changer les draps pour nous malgré qu’il se faisait tard dans la soirée.

J’aurais donné 5 étoiles si la propreté avait été bien.

Great place to stay in San Jose´. Very close to the shopping district, restaurants and night life.
The hotel is very quiet all day, rooms are clean and with lots of space for your suitcases.
I highly recommend this place !

It was warm in CR and they have no AC. Other than that it was a decent place to stay.

I didn't like being charged 2 days before arrival when I was suppose to pay at hotel that this web site provided my C.C. information and when I arrived I was charge/scammed by paying again with cash. They know what they did and I have being trying to get my money from them and even went there again for 4 days to recover what they stole from me and now they don't even answer my calls hopping it would just go away. worst place I have ever stayed in and bad experience.

It's well priced, for what you get. Parking is available near the hotel for a fee, as the hotel parking is not suitable for SUVs. There is no breakfast, only Coffee.

The Hotel was exactly as it was pictured and even a bit nicer than pictured. Was lovely to sit and have a coffee and look at the plants. Staff were super helpful and always nice to talk to. Location was perfect and we walked back and forth from the hotel into town/for dinner/wandering multiple times. Property is a bit loud at night but only slightly negative thing I could say.

Surprisingly comfortable with great service at reception. The shower/bathroom could do with some updating but still clean and functional. Would stay here again

This is a small, pleasant budget hotel in central San Jose. Not luxury, rooms have no windows, but wi-fi works great, location is good and front desk is very helpful in Spanish.

The host was friendly and the hotel was nice.
