Great post-cruise hotel!
Pros:

We stayed at the Westin Bayshore after a weeklong cruise to Alaska. It was the perfect place to unwind for a couple of days and explore Vancouver before heading home. Although the exterior of the building is older, don’t let that fool you. The inside is perfect, the staff are amazing, and the amenities are top notch. The lovely WARM and deep outside pool was amazing for the kids. We got to see a presentation with the on-site beekeeper that was fantastic. A ballon animal artist made creatures for all the kids. We used the FREE bikes to have an amazing ride around gorgeous nearby Stanley Park. The lively atmosphere made the whole stay super fun. Truly, a resort type experience in the heart of the city.

Excellent service, excellent stay!!
Pros:

The Westin has become one of my favourite places to stay. From the moment I arrived, the experience was excellent. The beds are incredibly comfortable and definitely live up to their reputation. Honestly, it was hard to get out of bed each morning because it was so cozy and relaxing. If you enjoy a great night's sleep, The Westin does not disappoint. The room itself was clean, spacious, and well-maintained, and the view was fantastic. Everything felt comfortable and welcoming throughout my stay. I also want to recognize the staff at check-in. Despite a long line of guests waiting, the team remained calm, professional, and friendly. I was near the back of the line and expected a lengthy wait, but the staff worked together efficiently and kept things moving quickly and smoothly. Their excellent customer service and teamwork did not go unnoticed. Overall, this was a wonderful stay. The comfortable accommodations, great views, and outstanding service made for a memorable experience. Job well done to the entire team. I will definitely be coming back!

Great Hotel wth a Beautiful View
Pros:

Check in was easy, quick and friendly. The hotel is large and is full of World Cup fever. The lobby has a café, bar, restaurant, spa, outdoor pool, gym and a few games the kids can play.
We were upgraded to a harbour view room. Our room a king size bed, large pillows both being very comfortable. A large desk, chair & lamp. A comfy chair, coffee table and ottoman with a floor lamp for reading. There is a drawer on each side of there bed to put your things in and another 3 large deeps drawers for some clothes. A safe hidden away from view, along with a bar fridge and coffee machine. There is plenty of floor space which leads to the sliding door outside. It’s not really a balcony, just an extremely small space to take a step out to look out.
The bathroom is small. A large single vanity, a shelf underneath to put some toiletries on, a magnifying mirror with light. The lighting in the bathroom is a bit yellow, so putting on makeup is not that easy. The shower is small, too small. The shower leaks water all over the floor every time you use it.
A place to hang some clothes and another couple of drawers.
Overall, the hotel is great, we love Weston hotels and have stayed in many and will continue to do so.
This hotel is on Vancouver Harbour and overlooks Stanley Park, you see the seaplanes coming in and leaving and the cruise ships. There are many restaurants and cafes within easy walking distance.

Fijn verblijf met prachtig uitzicht over het water. Genoten vd watervliegtuigen.

Mooi hotel, comfortabel, goede lokatie, fijn dat je fietsen voor twee uur mag gebruiken.

Cons:

Groot, personeel aan balie wat onpersoonlijk door drukte, na uitchecken niet mogen wachten tot vlucht bij bv zwembad. Mijn ervaring is dat dit meestal geen probleem is. Buitenruimte mag wat opgeknapt worden in vergelijking met rest van hotel. Jammer dat we bij zwembad einde van de middag geen drankje meer konden bestellen na drukke sightseeing dag.

GREAT STAY -- would definitely stay here again
Pros:

Our family of 11 stayed here (3 rooms) prior to embarking on a cruise. The hotel was perfect for us with close proximity to the port and ship, close to Stanley Park for walking and biking, and walking along the harbor front. The kids especially enjoyed the beautiful big pool / sauna and the buffet breakfast was a hit with all. Everything worked perfectly and I especially loved that the doorway actually OPENED wide to enjoy the gorgeous clean air and the views of the mountains, harbor, pool, and I always love Westin's White Tea personal products!! I would definitely stay here again. It was sparkling clean and the staff were very friendly and courteous.

Location great but avoid buffet breakfast

We had three nights here just after the world cup ended. Can't really fault the location. Stanley Park a pleasant walk away and some lovely restaurants in the area. Canada place and cruise terminal a doable 20 min walk away. Room had a nice view of the marina. Room was spacious and clean as was the bathroom. Bed was also very comfortable. Borderline for value. We had breakfast in the main restaurant one morning. Not part of our room package. Have to say it was probably one of the worst buffets we've had anywhere. The food appeared to just be dumped in the platters and the quality was dire. Presentation non existent. The only saving grace was you could order an egg option as part of the buffet. In hindsight, we should have avoided the buffet and perhaps just ordered a separate cooked breakfast. At 49 dollars it felt like a rip off. Our hot tea was also lukewarm. We avoided breakfast in here after that. There is a light bite option in the hotel or cafes close by. If we came back to Vancouver, we'd probably look elsewhere. Location is the biggest plus. Check in was also straightforward and staff pleasant.
