FCC Angkor by Avani

This is just a wonderful hotel full of helpful people with delicious food

The FCC hotel is a small low key hotel which offers outstanding comfort and service.
We stayed for 4 days in a deluxe room on the first floor. The bed was super comfortable and we had everything you would expect in a hotel of this calibre.

The staff in the restaurant were friendly and efficient - special thanks to Hai who looked after us at breakfast time. the concierge staff were equally helpful- arranging tuktuk, booking restaurants and returning things that I left in the restaurant. May was hilarious and brilliant without overstepping - making recommendations and clearly enjoying his job.

We also enjoyed the evening entertainment- the Moon Blessing- a monthly ceremony performed by the local monks, the shadow puppet show and a local band. Sadly we weren’t there for the traditional Cambodian Apsara dance.

Excellent location.. Next to the river. very convenient central location. Everything is at walking distance.

The FCC Angkor by Avani was recommended to us by friends; it was a fantastic recommendation. The location was perfect to temple tours and the National museum. Service for the room, breakfast/dinner, front desk and airport pick-up/drop-up were all excellent. We would stay at the FCC Angkor by Avani again and recommend to our friends.

We had a fabulous time at the FCC. We were greeted on arrival with chilled towels and a cooling citrus sorbet. The room was great as was the bar, pool and restaurant. The location was also perfect for us. What made our stay extra special was May, one of the senior staff who was extremely welcoming, full of fun and very helpful with local knowledge. We’d love to come back one day soon

We had a fantastic 5 night stay at this wonderful serene oasis. From the minute May checked us in we felt looked after by his team of hard working, ever friendly staff. Shout out in particular to Mau, Chamrong & Channa. We had food at the pool but also ate a couple of times in the Mansion restaurant & all was delicious. We were lucky enough to be in the Mansion for the Aspara show put on by local high school children - it was very enyable. The staff were so great & attentive we hope we can come back again.

The location of the FCC hotel in Siem Reap is perfect. Close to river, museum and the main town for shopping and restaurants.
The grounds are beautiful and our room was very spacious and lovely. We were in the colonial rooms overlooking the second swimming pool. Bed and pillows were very comfortable.
The staff were also helpful and wonderful. They made us feel very welcome and couldn’t do enough for us.
The bar area is lovely for an d ending drink and breakfast on the Mansion was great with a wow choice of western a khmer cuisine. The staff at breakfast were all so lovely and couldn’t do enough for us.
May at front desk was so helpful and thoughtful.
We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend for sure for anyone coming to visit Angkor Watt.

The hotel is beautiful – you’d easily mistake it for being in the metropolis of Singapore. The room, restaurant and pool areas are all equally stunning.

The staff were incredible, all of whom were so friendly and helpful. A special shoutout to May who made us feel so welcome and relaxed.

If you’re planning on visiting Siem Reap, this is a total must-stay. The location is great with so much in a walkable distance.

An exceptional stay at a beautiful hotel. It was absolutely faultless and the staff could not do enough for you. The design and interiors are stunning, without a doubt I’d recommend staying here. Particular thanks to May who was so welcoming and friendly, always on hand to help.

Wát een geweldig start van onze vakantie. Alles was simpelweg fantastisch: Enorm warm welkom, prachtige kamers, heerlijk ontbijt, mooi en relaxt zwembad, en het restaurant… tot dusver het beste eten wat we op Cambodja op hebben.

Lovely large rooms in a beautiful setting. Delightful, attentive staff. The location is ideal, just a ten minute walk from the Old Town with its bars, restaurants and market as well as a short distance to some historic buildings.

Very pleasant & helpful staff. Very clean & comfortable. Reasonably well located. Very comfortable bed for a good night sleep and very clean toilets. Overall a good hotel to stay in. Would definitely stay again.

One bartender reveled in serving short drinks, and refused to provide a snack tray at Happy Hour, as per hotel policy. Others did not do this. Shameful! His employment should be terminated!

The stay in th hotel was absolutely amazing! The hotel is gorgeous and the hotel staff, especially manager Mr. May made you feel warmly welcome! :) Highly recommended!

Location and property itself was 5 star. Centrally located but quiet and lovely neighbourhood. The pool and hotel were beautiful. I was quite disappointed with the service though. I stayed in another Michelin key hotel earlier that year which was a local brand in Indonesia, so unfortunately my expectations were high. Firstly, I was quite disappointed that no voluntary turndown service was provided. I asked for turndown service for the first two days, specifically to spray the room with mosquito repellent since Siem Reap is ridden with mosquitoes after sundown. On the third day, I decided not to ask for it assuming that they would just provide it, but surprisingly, it wasn’t done. When i came back from dinner, the bed was undone too. When I told reception that the plug-in mosquito repellent in the room was finished, they told me that they ran out of it. On another day, I went for breakfast 30 minutes before closing. Many of the dishes were empty and not being refilled till maybe 10-15 minutes later. I even had to ask them to be restock the plates. I was just quite disappointed because I expected a greater level of attention to detail.

My husband and I have wanted to post this review for some time. This hotel was truly wonderful. Our stay in Siem Reap was arranged by travel companions, so we did not know what to expect with the FCC Angkor Hotel in Siem Reap. The hotel turned out to be exceptional in every way: elegant, historic, centrally located, with a gracious staff, delicious food in the restaurant, and absolutely the best morning coffee we have ever had anywhere (and we are world travelers). The staff was attentive and helpful to all our needs (we were there with friends and acquaintances who were working on a documentary). We can certainly recommend this hotel as a beautiful, comfortable, and historic place to stay while in the area. – We thank the hotel for their very kind hospitality. Our best wishes to everyone there.

We stayed for 2 nights while visiting Siem Reap. We were upgraded to a Suite which was huge! The room was spotlessly clean. The food was delicious. All the staff were friendly, helpful and efficient. The reception staff were fantastic. Good location. We wish we could have stayed longer.
