I did not like the fact that I have been coming to stay at this hotel for 13 years and this last room in Aug could have been better my bed was wet all over and they put me in a room but I had to walk up to the desk with all myself because the man never return to tell me where I was going to be moved too and it was 11: 00 at night and I had to dry my blanket and they did give me money but the fact I had to go dry my blanket that late and had to leave the next morning!!

The unit was in poor condition and very dirty. The ac unit was rusting out at the bottom. The furniture was in poor condition. It was very noisy. Our first night a fight broke out at 4am in front of our unit with extremely profane language. Needless to say we spent one night and checked out! Awful experience.

Room with an unrequested view

Our main complaint is regarding the room we reserved. We booked our stay for a North Ocean View Junior Suite, opting for the additional room over a direct ocean view, both for the comfort of our family of 6 and to give our oldest child more maneuvering room, as they use a walker or arm crutches to assist with walking. This suite has two queen beds and a king bed in a separate room.

Upon arrival, we get checked in, go to the 6th floor, and find our room has a King bed, pull-out couch, and a Murphy bed. Also the bathroom was so small, or oldest child could not functionally use it. We went back to the front desk to speak with management. Apparently, we were "upgraded" to this ocean view room with no notice. We asked to be moved to the room we booked, but another family had been placed in the last functional suite available, because they checked in before us. Management did at least move us to a room with a more accessible bathroom on the 9th floor, but it was still the same configuration as the 6th floor room.

My issue with this whole experience is that there was no notice during booking on Hotels.com, on the Grand Cayman Resort website, in follow-up emails, or via text or call that notified our room could simply be changed without our input or knowledge. A manager on duty simply made the decision on what appears to be a simple first-come, first-serve basis, despite the fact the resort specifically states check-in is at 4pm and we were at the front desk at that time.

smokers in the children's area, I do not recommend this place, do not take your family there. The common areas and the pool are full of smokers, and when you file a complaint, the management does nothing.

Property is a little dated, especially in the hallway/parking garage area. Would be nice if the put new carpet in these areas. Seems a lot of the wear in tear in the rooms has been renovated but spring breakers seem to damage the room and the hotel is struggling to keep up with some maintenance. Overall the rooms were quiet as they muffled the DJ that goes from 11-11 at the pool. Staff was nice and helpful, and room was clean despite negative reviews on this.

JUST STAY AWAY FROM THIS HOTEL, BAD AS FAR AS CLEANLINESS.
To be honest this place looks really good in the pictures but when you get there it’s a different story. The only nice looking parts of the hotel were the lobby and the room. We got an oceanfront efficiency and honestly the view and the direct connection to the beach were good, but we’re pretty standard. As far as cleanliness, the hotel was pretty dirty with the kids pool and jacuzzi’s were dirty. The room looked pretty clean, but the bedsheets had stains on them and I believe that one of the beds had bedbugs in them. My mother got bed bug bites all over her legs and arms, THIS IS ABSOLUTELY DISGUSTING AND definitely TAKES AWAY FROM THE FEW GOOD PARTS OF THE HOTEL. Also, what you don’t see in the pictures is that the parking lot is connected to the doors of each hotel room for the first few floors, which is pretty weird. Honestly it’s better to do a little more research and find a better hotel. JUST STAY AWAY FROM HERE.
