Pros:

Nothing

Cons:

Nothing the hotel is on its last legs the rooms are damp and dirty the mattress on the beds are old and need replacing
The decor is crumbling and falling apart as is the outside.
I would not recommend this hotel to anyone
The staff are trying their best that's the only one shining thing
Just found out that the hotel is in administration
Would have been great if booking.com would have told us that and we would have booked something else.
Good luck with the sale for the sake of the staff

Pros:

The hotel was dog friendly which is a massive plus. Most of staff were doggy people and gave our wee one lots of attention. All the staff were so friendly and welcoming.
The food in the bar/evening was really good.

Cons:

The only thing which I didn’t expect was there was a road directly outside hotel. From the pictures it looks like the hotel is surrounded by fields. Only an issue cause we had the dog and I was worried cause the dog area next to the road.
That’s the only issue, if I had to pick something.

Staff very friendly- Keely and co were a ray of sunshine and very easy to talk to!

Cons:

nothing - great place - its not the Hilton but its value for money.

Etablissement confortable aux portes des Cairngorms
Pros:

L'hôtel est un peu vieillot mais le personnel est très accueillant. Les chambres sont grandes et hautes de plafond. Nous avions une jolie vue sur le jardin. Le restaurant de l'hôtel et le bar sont très appréciables. Nous y avons bien mangé. L'emplacement de l'hôtel est idéal pour une journée à la découverte des Cairngorms et la route des whisky.

Cons:

La salle de bain n'est pas moderne mais tout fonctionne très bien.

Pros:

I stayed for 2 nights on a hiking trip and I was very happy with the hotel. Beautiful Victorian building, well maintained and a nice location in a small village in Cairngorms. The room was quite large, clean and had all I needed. I have to compliment the hotel staff, they were extremely efficient and friendly at the same time. Buffet cooked breakfast was good and the food in the restaurant was fine as well. Good choice of whisky in the bar. Wifi worked well too.

Cons:

Not much to complain about. Just a few minor points - The menu in the restaurant and the selection of beers was not too impressive, but the quality of the food was excellent. Also it takes some expertise to start hot water in the shower, I had to ask the lady at the reception - but she was very helpful.

The staff was very friendly and we've had the best soup of the entire trip in the restaurant. The bar seems a bit quiet at first but then it got quite ccozy later.
Breakfast was better than expected.

Cons:

The building needs maintenance ASAP, such a shame to let it go down like that. The beds were very hard, not comfy at all.
