We were very happy staying here. The pool is covered in shade all day which we liked.

Charged more than initially thought I was going to pay

I'm honestly not sure how this place is so highly rated. It's so run down.
The wifi didn't work most of the time.
We found a cigarette butt in the bathroom. We don't smoke. Was it cleaned?
Half the shower door was missing.
The bathroom vanity looked like it's been chewed on.
The toilet lid didn't open the whole way, so it leans on your back when seated and the seat slides back and forth.
The AC dripped on the floor all night in front of the bathroom, creating a puddle that was a slip hazard in the dark.
The curtains have huge gaps on the top and bottom.
We weren't given blankets, only sheets.
The elevator didnt work.
And the thing that really upset us was the service we got at the bar. We were told when we checked in it was open until 9pm. We went there some time around 5pm. There were 2 employees behind the bar prepping chicken and zero other customers. They told us it would a minute. We said ok and waited. After more 10 minutes, we asked if it would soon and they said 1 more minute. We waited another 10 before leaving. I work in food service so I know this was unacceptable. I get they were handling raw chicken, but one of you needs to stop, wash your hands and serve your customers. 20 minutes before even ordering is far too long when you're the only customer. We will never stay there again.

Very limited with towels for room, for pool and only 1 keycard and the system they have for electricity

Our shower head would spray up when the water was put on full and get the bathroom floor wet, so we had to remember to only put the tap partway on.

poor wifi. found that frustrating. No sun around the pool. felt very closed in. we ended up never using the pool. it would be great if we had little kids with us as it felt very safe.

When we got there the cold water was brown. It got better in the second day. The AC in our room made a lot of noise so we had to put turbo before going to bed and keep it lower during the night. The staff was good but the emphasis on not stealing their towels or remote controls when they show you your room gives a bad first impression. 100 pesos charge if you leave the glasses dirty? Really?
