Pros:

Location was excellent, and the building lives up to the history and is definitely well-maintained. The staff are courteous and very accommodating.

Cons:

The bed is advertised as a full size, but ends up being closer to a twin size, and rooms that say they fit 2 people really barely fit one person. The hotel should not make the misleading claim here. Given the price for two people is on the reasonable side, but the unfortunate reality is that the value you get for your money falls through the floor because it's really more suitable for one person.

Just fine. A great place to recuperate between activities and prepare for the next.
Pros:

Beautiful historic building, great architecture, handsome fixtures, beautiful public rooms, carpets, furniture, and well-maintained garden area with great plants, seating, and small koi pond.
Very good food and service in the bar (Morgan's) as well as the gorgeous dining room (Julia's). Attentive, friendly staff at front desk. Great location near the university and Early Music concert venues, mostly churches. Left the car in the nextdoor lot (effective gates for entering and leaving) and walked to the concerts. The elevators worked well and provided reliable service between our 6th floor rooms and the lobbies, garden, restaurants on the lower floors.

Cons:

The shower/tub would be safer for an elderly person (or anyone) if there were grab bars.
Access at the front door involves steps, a bit difficult for us with problematic hips/backs. The railings help. Could there possibly be a ramp?
The pool wasn't available when I had time to swim due to a scheduled Zumba class, but it's another great asset.
