Glorious and adventuresome and rooms need some update..
Pros:

A Beautiful amazing castle Julia Morgan architecture!! Magical time travel ! 1920s arcs.. tiles.. gardens.. art deco pool .. grande pianos .. mysterious and grande and so much fun!!!

Cons:

Very dated rooms.. no tv .. sinks leaky ..6 th floor has kitchen smell.. needs better chairs and tables ..

Pros:

Very interesting iconic property. Friendly staff. Rooms comfortable and clean but not all modern amenities (no TV in my room, for example). I would stay again.

Vintage hotel with excellent dining. Great to work from home as they is plenty of spots to comfortable work especially I like the patio.

The Berkeley City Club is an amazing place, and to be able to actually stay there was a real treat.
Pros:

The room was on the small side, but still more than adequate, the complimentary breakfast was the best I've experienced, and the location was perfect.

Cons:

Having to pay for parking; felt like a bit of a ripoff.
