The location was perfect. Quiet yet close enough to Duval, Mallory Square, and the fort/beach area by Truman House. Next door to the lighthouse and across the street from Hemingway House.
I loved everything about the property. There wasn’t any parking but that didn’t affect us and there weren’t many chairs to lay out but also wasn’t an issue for us. Plenty of seating around the property outside the cafe though.
Lovely room (#6) had a wonderful porch to relax on with a glass of wine. Staff was very friendly and accommodating. Pool area was nice with comfortable loungers. Nice (included) continental breakfast on the deck (perfect way to start the day without having to go to a restaurant for breakfast if you didn't want to) . Great location away from the hubbub of Duval St but still close enough to enjoy, good restaurant choices within walking distance. Hemingway house and museum is directly across the street !
Everything was great !
Wasn't crazy about the local roosters waking us in the morning (haha) but not the hotels fault....they are part of the Key West vibe :-)
Poloha v centre mesta
Trošku slabšie raňajky
Location was great.
Pool was shady most of the day. Drawers must never get dusted or used often. Would have liked to put my clothes away instead of living out of a suitcase for the week. I was surprised they charged to go up in the lighthouse for guest. The breakfast bartender was average. Didn’t great you or speak unless spoken to. Breakfast items were not plentiful.
The hotel complex, made of multiple traditional white low rise building around small gardens with lush tropical vegetation was simply wonderful, relaxing and inspiring. I and my wife could breath the atmosphere of 1800 and early 1900 Key West. Next door, Ernest Hemingway's home and the island's Lighthouse contributed to enhancing the fascination of the place. Finally, the hotel is located close to numerous small restaurants and a very interesting section of historic Duvall Street.
The room was nice but on the small size. Moreover it didn't have drawers to store personal ware. The bathroom was OK but without hooks to hang nightrobes. Also, the room didn't have a safe.
We liked the hotel location which was central and we could park the car for the 3 days of our stay. The welcome drink is something common in European hotels but the first time we have had one in USA. A nice touch. The front desk and bar staff were polite and friendly.
We had to ask for the room to be cleaned as it was not done on our first day at all. The breakfast is basic considering the high cost of the stay. The small pool was not very clean around the edges and did not appeal. The parking is a matter of luck and timing and is expensive too.
Private and quiet, but close all attractions. The staff very accommodating and breakfast/bar area exceeded my expectations.
Room comfort was just okay. Bed not comfortable, pillows were awful, air conditioning was lacking, and bathroom was small and difficult to use sufficiently.
L’emplacement au calme mais dans le centre de Key West, l’esthétique de l’hôtel, la piscine , le petit déjeuner
Pas de parking pour se garer
Great location. Staff is really nice. Love that it’s a historic inn.
Tv didn’t work for 1 1/2 days. Had a little restaurant, but would have liked it to serve lunch- of course, for a cost.
Sehr sehr schönes Hotel, nettes Personal. Das Hotel hat eine super Lage. Ich komme wieder.
The place is very pretty as far as decor and architecture and landscaping. The breakfast is very impressive and the free cocktail upon arrival at the bar is a nice touch . The bar tenders Jefferson and Alejandro are the nicest most friendly people ever. They are the stars here . They make me give all the high ratings and made our vacation so enjoyable!
Daily parking off site rate is $30/ day. We were lucky enough to find a spot on the street after driving around for a 1/2 hr and we left the car there all week in fear of not being able to find another spot.we walked everywhere which was a good thing.Housekeeping did not show up for 2 days until I called the front desk to inquire. The bathroom floor always felt dirty and I noticed housekeeping using a straw broom to sweep the room. No vacuum ,no cleaning supplies ! Good thing I had Lysol . I cleaned the floors myself with a wet washcloth and Lysol and the towel was filthy afterwards. The bathroom had an exhaust fan but did not have a switch to turn on or the fact that it was packed with dust might have had something to do with it. The roosters are lovely to look at but get annoying constantly crowing all day long, which means they are stressed out.so it’s sad. Our room was also at the back of the property which was nice at first until we found out they are building a house directly behind us. So a lot of construction noise and no way to be moved as we were told the hotel is full. The pool is small but warm but also in need of resurfacing.it looks dirty .This location is noisy at night with cars and motorcycles and sirens .We are used to the Opal resort but thought we’d try this place .
The individual rooms with the porch was so peaceful and inspired relaxation
It was cold and I would have liked instructions on how to work the heat or extra blankets.
