Extended Stay America Suites - Baltimore - Bel Air - Aberdeen

Price too high for a hotel with almost no amenities. It did have a kitchen, but would much rather been offered a better breakfast, I didn't come to cook my own food. plus you have to pay a considerable amount extra if you want more than 1 bed.

The first room they gave us was completely dirty like someone just left there. There was a lot of trash outside of the side entrance. The breakfast was terrible.

Beds were small (fulls) and firm. Bathroom had no hair dryer. Morning 1 I was able to get a hair dryer from the front desk (they were not staffed to bring anything to the room), but Morning 2, no hair dryers were available, so wet hair it was. The hair dryer came in the cardboard box -- a pretty odd offering from a hotel.
Breakfast was low quality, processed sugary snacks and not something I would eat.
The hotel did not have record of my payment from Booking.com being received and wanted me to pay them again before I was able to check out (both my confirmation email and credit card had record of payment). They required me to call Booking.com and communicate between the 2 agents to verify that I had indeed paid for my stay at the time of booking. This was a company-to-company issue and not something the customer should have been responsible for resolving and caused a 20-min delay in my departure.
Possibly due to a youth league sport tournament going on in the area, the rooms were wildly over-priced; at least 50% more than a room of this caliber should have cost.

Room was paid for at time of reservation by my daughter through booking.com and then the check in attendant also charged my card, so we have to sort that out with the bank. The room above me was loud all night and the staff was not pleasant and seemed to not want to be bothered to do their jobs. The coffee machine was not locking into place in the coffee bar area and when I told the front desk staff they may want to take it away so it doesn't come apart and spill hot coffee over someone they said it wasn't their problem.

Everything was fine besides the lady at the front desk had me waiting for at least 15-20 minutes to check in while she was handling something on the phone which I understand she's only one person I totally understand, but the part that really turned me off was her cold and seemingly judgemental demeanor she gave during my check in process. Especially after I patiently waited without complaining.

Floors in room was sticky. Person in the room next to me had a dog barking late at night....called the after hours number listed on the phone in my room to get help with that but no answer. Room service only provided every 14 days.
Sign at front of hotel says no smoking within 100 feet but people were.
