Functional, clean hotel a short drive from area beaches.
Pros:

Clean room with a good size. We had a double queen jr suite, it had a nice desk / work area, mini fridge, and a sink and counter. Beds were comfortable. Bathroom sink was outside the shower/toilet room which could work well for friends staying together. The 24 hour coffee station and electric car charger were appreciated. Complimentary breakfast had a reasonable number of choices and was ok.

Cons:

Our room was under a walkway so the only windows were totally under a concrete walkway with no privacy, making it very dark and “basement-feeling”.

Too Many Amenities Cut After Renovation
Pros:

We stayed at this hotel before the renovation and were quite happy. However, this first time stay after renovation proved to be quite disappointing. They took away almost everything I liked before.
The amenities listed have items that's not available such as a room safe, coffee/tea maker which are basic items that should normally be available. The kitchen doesn't even have shelves, dishes, glasses, utensils, towels. Just empty cabinets with a microwave and refrigerator. There's no laundry bag/price list. There's no toiletry items such as shower cap, qtips, cotton balls,..just a single small bar of soap.
As for housekeeping, they did not tell us they only clean our room every 3 days! Paying over $300 a night, I would expect daily cleaning!
As for the breakfast buffet, they only had some premade thin, dry omelets, English muffins, chocolate muffins, dry cereals, yogurt, juice, apples/oranges. No waffles, meats, jams, breads, potatoes. The apple we got was mushy and rotten at the core. We didn't bother with breakfast after the first day. They really cut back their breakfast buffet.
The bathtub did not have grab bars and there's no rubber mat to put in the tub. This is not safe.
The room was clean and bed was comfortable. However, this will not be enough for us to come back.
The rating of this hotel is not accurate because most of reviews relate to the hotel before renovation.

Kleines gemütliches Hotel mit Strandlage am Manhattan Beach
Pros:

Fußläufig vom Manhattan Beach entfernt und nicht weit mit dem Auto zum Venice Beach oder zu den Sehenswürdigkeiten in Los Angeles. Sehr freundliches Personal und schönes großes Zimmer

Cons:

Im Zimmer ist ein Küche aber ohne Inhalt. Man musste sogar nach Besteck fragen. Frühstück lohnt sich dort auch nicht zu buchen

Super clean, comfortable stay.
Pros:

We were surprised to find out our stay included breakfast. Breakfast was pretty good too! The room was big, comfortable and very clean. The staff was helpful and friendly. Even though the hotel is located in a busy area, the hotel was quiet and we didn't hear any outside noise during our sleep. There is a lovely outdoor area to hang out in, which is always quiet, clean and comfortable.

Pros:

Breafast was ok

Cons:

Our bedroom was on first floor, window facing the street did not shut completely , so light was not block at night. Sofa bed was extremely unconfortable.
