I booked the LakeView Room which costs a premium but the view of the lake is blocked by the trees meaning you cannot see the lake, regardless of the floor you’re staying in.
I told this to the manager who has agreed to issue me a partial refund. A refund was never given.

Great location, lovely hotel, fantastic staff. Great breakfast options.

Cons:

Club facilities not the greatest, beds or mattresses and pillows need to be upgraded - hard as a rock.

Pros:

We stayed over the May Day bank holiday in a lake view room, so it was expensive - but worth it for the superb views of the lake. The service was excellent everywhere. Breakfast in the buffet and dinner in 28 Hubin Road were both very good, though pricey, especially for China. It took our taxi a while to get there from the station as the streets round about the hotel were so crowded

Pros:

Excellent location next to Westlake, Hubin 88 mall and subway station. Though located next to a busy tourist spot, it’s a world away inside the hotel.
