Mom and I went to Sedona for the 1st time. We had an amazing time! Rock Slide is so much fun! Dinner at Mariposa is a must!!!
From what I observed the property has finished the reno on the rooms and currently working on the pool area. There was minimal noise, and if there was any at all it was during the day when we were on our way out for activities.
The room was very spacious and the views were perfect from the second floor. The only suggestion I would have is maybe declining the valet service if its not that busy. We for some reason thought it was required, but that was an error our part. If you do valet and don't want to drive, they offer a car service within a certain vicinity as well as a golf cart service to the main hotel and their amenities. Within the area were all the great choices for restaurants and shops. We loved the pizza place nearby and the ice cream shop across the way. The concierege was also very helpful and provided us with a map as well as suggestions for activities and hiking spots. Overall we were very pleased with our little staycation.
Terrific views, luxurious rooms and a highly accommodating and friendly staff! Highly recommend!
nice
Beautiful scenes of the red rocks from the balcony of the room. It was newly renovated & very spacious. It’s quiet but walking distance to numerous shops & restaurants; best of both worlds. The entire staff was very welcoming & generous. Definitely want to stay here again!
The service and quality of this hotel is amazing
Only bad thing about this hotel is that it’s newly renovated you can smell the formaldehyde
The Cliffs is a really beautiful hotel with good amenities and the views are out of this world.
The check in process was a little confusing with their sister hotel as we had to drive down there to check in and then drive back up
Absolutely love the inclusion of tips in one daily price. No need to futz around with ones and fives. All companies:dining establishments should follow your lead.
(First picture is view from our balcony)
Too many stairs to get down to the restaurant. However there is a road you can drive down for guests who may need assistance. Considering where the property is build stairs are necessary. It ain’t called “The Cliffs” for no nothing.

It never happened. They canceled on us a week before our stay due to some kind of building permit issues. The lady on the phone was nice but we still had to find another hotel to stay at.
I thought The Cliffs was very nice, but a little too expensive for what they offered. The ongoing construction on the property made it difficult to find my way around. I found that Sedona, in general, charges Santa Fe prices while not offering Santa Fe quality.
Parking ok
Construction started 7:30-8AM on Christmas morning-how would YOU like that on CHRISTMAS!!!! I think that was tasteless and poor judgement on someone’s part. At least start after NOON if work had to be done. We drove from Northern California and got in late Christmas Eve. Didn’t expect after such a long drive and climb stairs to drag luggage up for my mother and myself to be wakened that early. And, not that anyone will read this, it’s a cathartic exercise for me to write how disappointed I am with people who are in the hospitality industry! I’m glad I don’t treat my patients like you treat your guests!
Shameful!!
Mother Nature cannot be beat
How shameful for both Orchards & Booking to accept any reservation while MAJOR a construction is ongoing from 7:30am to 5pm every day. On top of the abundance of jackhammering the air/heat kept going on every 15-20 minutes all night long. Finally one would hope that if Sedona regularly gets wind gusts up to 70mph then double pane windows should have been installed, especially at THAT obscene price point
View was amazing, probably the best views in uptown Sedona. Room was relatively clean and comfortable. The balcony was great, offering views to the rock formation. Staff was friendly and helped us when we needed.
Extremely overpriced, like everything in Sedona.
Also room was advertised with a safe, but no safe was inside the room.
Unfortunately I can not give this stay 5 stars. When booking this Hotel, there was no mention that it was under construction 🙄 Check in was done at their Sister property and although the views from the room were breathtaking the Hotel and amenities themselves were lacking due to renovations. It is my opinion that a reduced rate or compendmsation should be offered under these circumstances as it takes away from the overall experience.
Nowhere on their website or Expedia does it indicate that the property is under construction
Finding how to check in was a pain - hotel us blocked by a construction fence and sign to go to another hotel but no indication that it’s the orchard that’s under construction. We called and only got off sight ppl that also didn’t know the hotel lobby was closed. Do better.
When we figured it out - the sister hotel staff were fine - though gave us the impression that we were inconveniencing them & clearly staying at a lesser quality location.
Finally got to the room - there is NO WAY this is the quality alluded to on both Expedia or the main website - claims to be a premium suite (1bedroom) it’s not. Definitely not 3.5 stars.
It’s old, dated, weird layout… the $35 “resort fee” is ridiculous- no staff on site and our room is beside 3 large dumpsters. Parking lot is dark and dodgy.
Wait till they are done Renos - there r other places!
the location was convienant, close to dining and shopping.
I overpaid for what i thought was a resort type room with some amenities. I received an email from Orchards Inn a few weeks before coming (and with no time to find something else) telling me that the place was under renovation. This meant that there was no front desk to greet us and we had to find a parking place at a sister hotel who didn’t know who we were and we on our own to discover Sedona. Our room was ridiculous considering it was 500.00 a night for a bed with a bathroom. The room was inferior and there was even sneaker marks on the bathroom floor. The ice was in a machine downstairs. Be aware that if you find a parking space you will need move your vehicle by 8 am. We were actually sworn at by a presumably cleaning woman to move our “f… car. I spent so much money ( for me) and got so little.
I don’t like move another hotel, and does not tell us early…
Great location! The view from the room was incredible! Right in Upper Sedona. Short driving distance to the major hiking sites. Comfortable beds. Would recommend.
The room was a little dated and could do with a bit of TLC. The man who checked-us in seemed a bit sour and impatient.
