We returned to the pera palace after 30 years( our honeymoon & pre renovation)
It was great to see the hotal updated and returned better days.
It is a lovely characterful hotel much bettet than other souless 5 star chains
The staff left us an anniveraary cake from the patisserie and a little messgae which was lovely
Breakfast was fab probably the.most choice of anywhere we ve stayed.( quails eggs one morning !)

Cons:

As we were there over a weekend there were weddings on 2 of the days which.meant that some of the facilities were closed to hotel residents which was a shame.
Also the music was quite loud even.on the 5th floor problematic if you had an.early start but ok for us

Ist es schön, dass das Hotel so viel Geschichte und viele Erinnerungen in sich trägt.

Cons:

Ich weiß gar nicht, wo ich anfangen soll. Als ich vor zwei Jahren in diesem Hotel übernachtet habe, war ich wirklich begeistert. Umso traurig war es für mich zu sehen, dass vieles von dem, was mich damals so beeindruckt hat, heute nicht mehr vorhanden ist. Der Pool wirkt ungepflegt und es roch stark nach Chlor beziehungsweise Reinigungsmittel. Auch beim Personal hatte ich leider immer das Gefühl eher kritisch und distanziert behandelt zu werden als wirklich willkommen zu sein. Besonders störend war, dass an zwei Abenden Hochzeiten im Hotel stattfinden. Bis Mitternacht gab es sehr laute Musik und starker Bass Vibrationen, die selbst im Zimmer deutlich zu spüren waren. Noch enttäuschend war allerdings, dass dadurch zwei Salons so wie die Terrasse vollständig von Hochzeitsgästen belegt und für andere Hotelgäste praktisch nicht nutzbar waren. Bei Buchung gab es keinerlei Hinweis drauf, dass während unserer Aufenthalts Hochzeiten im Hotel stattfinden würden. Ich finde, darüber sollten Hotelgäste im Voraus informiert werden.
