Springfield Hotel

We had afternoon tea at the Springfield Hotel, Leixlip today and we would strongly recommend it. The food and ambience was excellent and the whole treat was added to by our fantastic waitress Teresa. Bernie and Jimmy King.

Staff at reception were very welcoming when my partner and I arrived for my grandads party. We were served by Linda and she was very helpful in giving us directions to our room.

Our room was just what we needed though when we went to bed we found the room quite warm. Bed was comfortable and shower was lovely.

My favourite part was the food. I loved the salmon while my partner enjoyed the turkey and ham.

Overall a wonderful experience and will book again.

We went for Afternoon Tea it was just amazing from start to finish. The table settings were just beautiful all the old style Delph.

The array of sandwich and filling was just perfect to suit all plates.
The sweet treats were a whole different level to anywhere I have ever been before. Meringue with a squishy chewy centre, donuts with carmel filling, cheesecakes with black forest topping made with proper cheese, mousse, the scones were unreal, little pastries that looked like coconut but when you bit into them there was a Baileys filling, the muffins had a creamy lemony filling and the chocolate ones had a creamy filling, every single cake was a surprise to enjoy.
We got champagne with strawberry in it. The huge pot of tea and coffee piping hot kept us going for the duration of our time there even though Teresa and her wonderful team offered refills.

I even got a tray to bring home our cakes we could not finish.

Reserved a table for two in the restaurant for Valintines night. I had not been in the hotel for a long time and not since it had received its 4 stars and I was looking forward to it but to be honest I really cant see how it got a 4* rating because , based on our experience, it certainly dosent deserve it. We decided to have a pre dinner drink at the bar and I was disappointed when they had no Pinot Grigo, I settled for something else and my husband had a Guinness which he had to wait for for an awful long time as the bar man poured it, left it to settle but then disappeared. We then went to the restaurant for our dinner, it was a nice space and the food was excellent as was our waiter, friendly, professional and extremely efficient and probable the only thing I felt was 4* about the entire experience, but again no Pinot. For dessert we decided to have a cocktail I ordered a brandy Alexander but they did not have the ingredients to make one, now that falls way below the standard expected of 4* hotel and I dont think we will be rushing back.

Today was our second time having Sunday Carvery here. The Restaurant is beautiful. Food is delicious however desserts are small and more expensive compared to other hotels. Unfortunately staff on both occasions were lacking in customer service... unfriendly and un- welcoming. We felt we were a nuisance for ordering our food!

Arrived this morning with three guests for breakfast just a few minutes after 10am. Had a surly reception from the blond-haired middle-aged woman who told us we were too late as breakfast finishes at 10am!
A much more friendly and helpful oriental-looking waitress went in to the kitchen and asked the chef who told her we were too late (full stop).
She offered to bring tea and scones which we appreciated very much. (One of our guests had been fasting due to an earlier medical appointment.)
Full marks though to the young waitress who saved the day for us.

Staff very friendly. Check in easy. Restaurant nice although we had to ask for menu's and cutlery. Food nice. Larger Dublin prices. Makes you appreciate Donegal prices. Room clean, but very warm. Ground floor room didn't give us the confidence to leave window open. Bed was very uncomfortable. But overall a good overnight stay

We had afternoon tea here yesterday, which was delicious, and so well presented. We were looked after by Teresa, who was really lovely. Nothing was too much trouble. Looking forward to returning. Thank you!

Afternoon tea in the Springfield. Beyond my expectations. Selection was fab, from sandwiches to treats and service amazing. They catered a little plate for my 8 year old. Big thank you to Teresa.. she was super. ❤️

Fantastic 60th Birthday party at the Springfield Hotel, Leixlip. The staff were brilliant , very helpful, excellent food and great atmosphere. Breakfast next morning was excellent. Highly recommend it for a party.

As a regular diner for pensioner's lunch I was surprised that the cost had increased by 27% from €16.50 to €21.00 since Christmas.
We have taken our business elsewhere.

We recently held a BIrthday Celebration at The Springfield Hotel and reserved 6 rooms for guests that had travelled.
The rooms were all excellent, Neil and Anna (looking after us on the night) went above and beyond the service levels expected, the food was super and service excellent.
Would have no hesitation in recomending The Springfield for a celebration or stay over.

We had our Christmas party at the Springfield Hotel and it was absolutely brilliant. Lynn, Sean and the entire team were amazing from start to finish — so friendly, helpful and on the ball. The food was fantastic, the service was spot on, and everyone had a brilliant night. Highly recommend!

My friend and I went for afternoon tea on Tuesday. All the staff we encountered were so friendly and helpful. We had a lovely girl show us our table but sadly we never got her name. She was leaving at three and we then had the lovely Tara come over to help us with anything we needed. She is an absolute credit to the hotel. We have been for afternoon tea to many different places but Tara made us feel like we were at home. The afternoon was delicious and we are already thinking of going again. Would highly recommend The Springfield Hotel based on our own personal experience.

A wonderful experience during my stay. The gentleman at the reception - Nader truly stood out, respectful, patient, and genuinely attentive. He took the time to understand and helped me find the most suitable room. Not only that, he went above and beyond and offered me one of the best rooms in the hotel.

The stay only got better with an amazing Irish breakfast that really set the tone for the day.

Professionalism and thoughtful attitude made the entire experience warm and memorable. Excellent service like this truly makes a difference. Highly recommended!

We had a wonderful stay. Rooms were clean and the staff were very friendly. The restaurant had good food and our wait staff, Teresa, had the best service. Her pleasant attitude every morning made our stay extra special.

The hotel itself was lovely. The rooms were very clean and of high standard, we were very impressed. However, the breakfast wasn't fresh, and there wasn't much selection, which was a little disappointing.

Myself & my mum who’s 88 and fab had an amazing afternoon tea in Springfield Hotel and Teresa is a fab lady who gave us a beautiful and such attentive service . Attention to detail and service Top Class 5 stars 🌟 from Alice & Anne Drogheda 💛💛

We have eaten there several times lately, and to keep it short, we were served simple, good, wholesome food. Everything we've tried has been very good. Nothing fancy, just good food, green vegetables properly cooked, and good sized portions. We'll be back !
