Excellent location. Gardens were pleasant to sit and relax in. Included breakfast quite good.
I understand this property is “historic” but that doesn’t mean casitas shouldn’t be maintained. El Rincon casita second bedroom does not receive much air conditioning and fan clearly broken because the cord to change fan speed was missing and it could not be sped up to be useful at all. Plus the poorly designed sky light in that room with no blind to cover it makes it hotter in July heat.
Total artist on sabbatical feel., the room was amazing.
Price was high but totally worth it.
The apartment was very comfortable and very convenient to local restaurants and sights. Loved the hot tubs! The staff was so helpful. We truly enjoyed the to order included with our stay.
Nothing!
Very friendly service! The lady who helped us get settled was very sweet and made sure we felt comfortable. The property is very unique as far as hotel options go, and I love the proximity to Old Town for tourists. They had a very nice looking hot tub area which we unfortunately did not have time to use, but it’s a nice feature. In addition, the courtyard area is beautiful and inviting. Breakfast was delicious and I liked how open it was (I believe they serve from 7-10am) vs. other B&B’s where breakfast is at a very set time. I found the bed to be very comfortable.
Keep in mind that these are very old school accommodations. There’s a certain charm to that, and personally I loved how authentic the experience was. But, it may not be for everyone as many things are obviously very old, particularly in the bathroom. The TV wasn’t exactly ancient but it was very small and dated. Overall, the hotel made me feel nostalgic for times past; but my wife prefers properties that are more modern and cleaner looking, so that might sway some travelers. In addition, this isn’t really the fault of the property for where it’s located, but ABQ can be pretty sketchy (I say this as a former resident) and I would have preferred off-street parking to feel a little safer. That being said, nothing remotely bad occurred and my guess is most people have no trouble.
Loved the history, the beautiful park-like setting, the character, the art! It’s only 3 blocks from the historic plaza
Cozy and authentic Southwest right by old town
We asked for a room with a patio and they said we they didn’t have one and implied that it might be an error because we booked with Booking.com.
Wonderful cooked to order breakfast!
Nothing
The quiet, secluded feeling, peaceful. The staff was welcoming and accomodating. Good breakfast.
Beds too high. Very challenging.
Quaint, historic, quiet. Super close to Old Town. Staff was amazing. Great breakfast. Enjoyed the hot tub pool. Would highly recommend a stay here.
Everything was great.
We are repeat customers who love the 20th c vibe and all the art. Love the courtyards, funky buildings, location.
Not a fan of the remodeling. Also, prices have increased dramatically!
Lovely, welcoming staff, quiet, peaceful setting. It was the best thing about staying in old town, and a pleasure to be there.
The beds are way too high, to the point of being dangerous. My husband and I had to share the one stool to get up to the bed, and then crawl off at the end of the bed; very dangerous if you get up at night. We also needed another reading lamp at to have one on each side of the bed for reading. The facilities are old, which is both their charm and their weakness. Windowshades need replacing.
It’s very comfortable and well located.
nothing
It’s a beautiful property, very Old Southwest. It was nicely landscaped and very well maintained. We rented the bungalow with a kitchenette, although we didn’t really use it. We just wanted the extra space. The beds were comfortable, the sitting room was lovely, the hot tubs were nice, everything was clean.
In all ways, it was a wonderful place to stay. It’s only a five minute walk from the old town.
There’s nothing I could find negative about the property. It cost us a bit more than we have been paying in New Mexico, but it was well worth it.
Everything! Room, very nice, clean quiet and private. Loved breakfast. Got to order entrees. Easy ck-in.
