The property is very unique. Friendly staff and wonderful location. Continental breakfast and soft drinks provided.
I have been many places this but this place has character you would not believe. No words to describe it
I did not like that I only could got off week from work. 😂
EVERYTHING! Our rooms simple, authentic furnishings, original art, fireplace - ahh! The garden courtyard with nightly fires outside and the lodge lobby with gorgeous timbers, homemade cookies and meeting the basset hounds was a highlight.
El Portal was perfection for our 38th anniversary Sedona staycation.
Location great. Continental Breakfast. Very good.
It’s beautiful! Our room was so comfy and we loved the decor.
Beautiful architecture - probably one of the most good-looking hotels in Sedona aside from some of the more expensive resorts. Also includes access to the next-door hotel's spa facilities which we used and loved.
The staff here was charming and very helpful. Location within town was very walkable and ideal even if it doesn’t have views.
I stayed at El Portal Hotel in Sedona and had an absolutely wonderful experience. With so many hotels in the area priced similarly, I chose El Portal somewhat at random and went in with no expectations — and I was completely blown away. The property is breathtaking; every detail feels intentional, from the furniture to the artwork, and you can truly see the pride and care the owners and staff put into the space. The location is perfect — walkable to fantastic restaurants and shops — which made the stay even better. I will absolutely be back and have already recommended it to friends.
Adored everything about it.
The location is great. We ate breakfast next door at The Secret Garden one day and Creekside another day
I hated that we could only stay 2 days
The property is located in the heart of Sedona, we didn’t have to travel far, mostly walked to shops, restaurants and things to do. The property was so lovely and the fire pit area was amazing. I loved all the snacks that were on hand at all time. Kept me fueled for our outings. Staff was a delight.
Our bathroom smelled of raw sewage, the shower was covered in black mold on the ceiling and walls. The tub was questionable bc of the way it looked, the tub had patchwork. There was hair in the sink area. The sleeper bed was atrocious. I have slept on pull out couches and this is by far one of the worst ones, it felt like it had been one of the original ones. Also I understand it is a dog friends space and I have dogs, but due to the bathroom and lack of cleaning I cannot help but wonder if they are cleaning enough in each room to get rid of any pet dander. So take caution when booking if you have a dog allergy, DO NOT BOOK HERE.
