Americas Best Value Inn West Frankfort

The smell was terrible, humid like sewage. The pillows were so flat, requested extra but they didn’t want to give any, only 1 bar soap. Next morning I woke up with bites, so I went to talk to the receptionist and showed her, obviously she denied it, but didn’t do anything about it. She apologized and the end but not discounted price or anything and btw there is no breakfast. Just coffee.

the guy at the front claimed i had stayed there the night before & that i had no choice but to be switched from a non smoking room to a smoking room . i do not smoke & i told him that & asked why . he told me i stayed there the night before and i was smoking when i did . i told him he had me confused with someone else and he gave me the smoking room even after i made it clear what he stated was not true . he was very rude . my " suite " didn't have a working handle/lock . could've been pushed through with no effort at all which i didn't like . the hot tub is not easily accessible if you are older or disabled i do not recommend, as you have to climb up on the concrete then down into the tub with no steps , rails , stools , bars or anything to pull/hold onto . there's suppose to be breakfast but never is anything down there sometimes if you're lucky a banana or some dry cereal . lock your cars cause the wandering crackheads are all over this place walking around the lot n build all hours of the night . they prop the doors with trash cans , rocks , etc to get back in when they want w no room key .

I enjoyed everything about my stay.

That I had bed bug bites the next day when I woke up

The room was filthy the floors weren't clean at all my feet were black on the bottom after only an hour of walking around the room the pull out bed had no sheets or covers also found mouse poop on both of the bed I originally books a suite with 2 queen beds and a pull out bed to accommodate my family for our stay for my grandma funeral and someone had to sleep in the bath tub because there wasn't enought sleeping arrangements the toilets didnt work all to well and the bedding did not smell clean very unsatisfied especially for price I paid

When i showed up at 2 a.m. they said they didnt have my reservation. I did make a request to have a late acheck in though because my train didnt arrive until 1:21 a.m. They acted like they were full and that it was my fault for not being on time. They eventually found my reservation and gave me a room. Confronted me in the morning about a matress topper that was missing but then asked the housekeeper if she even put one on that bed and she admitted she forgot to even put one in that room the night before.
