Amazing hotel. Would be 5* if not for the pushy photography team
Pros:

Absolutely amazing hotel, with great facilities and team (Snowe the cat was the star of the show).

On the TUI front - Simon, Jon and Ahmed were absolutely amazing. I went out, solo, for my birthday and they not only remembered my name, but invited me along to a whole range of activities which I loved.

The food selection could have been better but overall I was satisfied.

I chose a swim up room, which was absolutely amazing and so clean every day.

The spa facilities were also great, I highly recommend a deep tissue massage.

Now for the negative, this WOULD have been a 5* review but I’ve knocked off two stars because of how forceful and predatory the photographers were. The first couple of nights I said no, and pointed out I was a professional photographer and don’t like photos of myself. On my fourth night, after being constantly pestered every. Single. Night. I finally caved and said “ok fine”. I was drunk at that point as there was an event on. He took five or six photos of me, about half of which were out of focus, put them on his laptop and WhatsApped them to me, then started demanding payment before I even had a chance to see them. I paid as I felt uncomfortable, but even since night 4 when this happened (and I was there for 10 nights) I felt uncomfortable being in the bar area.

If not for the above, I’d definitely visit again and the rating would be 5*s - but I felt so uncomfortable every evening in the bar that I missed out on a lot.

Cons:

Rien! Tout était parfait!

Good quality price
Pros:

The food was tasty, although there were not a lot of vegetarian options. The stews I would avoid but the pancakes and fruit were delicious!

Cons:

The serving staff in the restaurants were never very friendly. It was very noticeable that unless you tipped them you would get ignored.

Excellent séjour.
Pros:

Excellent
Pros:

A really good hotel. Very well looked after, attractive and comfortable communal areas. Bedrooms were lovely. Comfy bed, hot fast walk in shower, plenty of storage and cleaned beautifully every day by a very friendly lady who made arrangements on our bed. Only downside was the view off of our balcony (room at back, opposite main pool) which was of scrub land but we could see the sunset from there. The food was good, plenty of choice and variety. The best meal we had was on Valentine’s Day where I was given a rose as I entered the dining room and we ate poached salmon, lamb and valentines cake 🍰. I did react one evening to very strong lamb which didn’t have anything wrong with it but the meat is very strong flavoured in my opinion. We had no problem finding a sun bed. The shuttle bus into the Medina was very helpful too. Staff very friendly and attentive. Overall a very good hotel in my (our) opinion and we would stay there again.

Perfect place to relax
Pros:

This was our second time at the hotel after almost 20 years.
The hotel looks quite sleek. It is located in a quiet area of the city, the perfect place to relax and unwind under the Moroccan sunshine and blue sky, in a lush green gardens to walk around.
The room was quieter in the Menzeh building [R421], with plenty of sunshine at the balcony in the afternoons.
The bed was conformable. There are 2 USB outlets on each side of the bed, with reading light. There is a fridge, safe and all other amenities. Just don't forget to bring your own slippers!
Fast WIFI is available throughout the hotel. At one stage I counted 452 devices connected with no connection issues
FOOD: Plenty of choice so you can always find something you like. A variety of fresh crunchy salads and hot Moroccan and other specialities.
Self-service soft drinks and local wines.
I fully recommend dinner at the Moroccan a La Carte restaurant.
SERVICE: staff were doing their best to make you feel at ease and serve you.
There is a free mini-bus shuttle service to town (stops near the Rui Medina Gardens Hotel. The first out starts at 10:00 and the last one back at 18:45. Make sure you book in advance.

Thank you to all the hardworking staff. Please keep it up 🙂

An exceptionally friendly, clean and well equipped hotel!
Pros:

We booked this 7 night all-inclusive stay through Tui. Our room was excellent, the grounds were excellent with massive swimming pools, and a walk around the extensive grounds was well worth doing both a reasonable walk and interesting too seeing the unusual plants and the plethroa of Orange trees. The gym, spa and indoor swimming pool were all clean and beautifully equipped. The staff, throughout this amazing hotel, were truly very friendly and spoke very good English. The restaurants were superb, and the food and drink was amazing - we loved it! The main bar in the hotel, The Zanzibar, often had activities on in the evening, details of these can be found near the Tui Rep's desk. The only thing that bugged my wife and I was the location, there really was nowhere to walk to nearby, and certainly not at night time. The shuttle bus is worth taking into town, and there are taxis too on hand, but you have to haggle over the fare; best to ask the hotel Reception for how much and then stick to that. Talking about the Reception, the staff manning it were brilliant and so helpful. Tours can booked through the Tui rep at the hotel, however, a quick walk out of the hotel and turn left on their road will take you to Mohmad, a colourful local man who does tours that are much cheaper; we did two through him! There is a sign in the road and is easy to find.

Chilled relaxing vibe in a stunningly beautiful setting!
Pros:

Stayed for a week in February 2025 with my daughter. Our first impression was a stunningly beautiful hotel with the most amazing gardens!
Room was large and very clean, overlooking one of the pools and the swim up rooms below.
The buffet plus à la carte restaurants were very good. Although the waiter in à la carte did not seem very friendly.
A good selection of hot and cold food in the buffet - something for everyone.
The animation team offered lots of activities during the day, plus a few shows at night.
Security patrolling the grounds made us feel very safe.

Amazing gluten free food and fabulous staff
Pros:

We had a smashing holiday at this beautifullly kept hotel. The absolute highlight are the wonderful staff who are so friendly and welcoming and really can’t do enough for you and treated us as friends from day one.

Hotel grounds and pools are beautiful, with loads of comfy sun beds and plenty of space. The location on the edge of the city meant it was easy to get out and about and to the airport, but secluded enough to feel quiet and peaceful. We had trips out in the morning and afternoons around the pool in the sunshine. We went to the wonderful Jardin Majorelle, on a horse and carriage ride, rode on camels and shopped in the souk.

The food was wonderful, varied, and plentiful and we thoroughly enjoyed all the Moroccan tagines and other dishes. The salad and vegetables were fresh and had really good flavour, the pink olives were a favourite. As my husband is a coeliac, who needs gluten free food, this really was one of the best experiences we’ve ever had. As soon as we asked the chef at the first meal time,it was so straightforward, he was walked around the food and shown what he could have, which was always more then half of the hot dishes on offer. They were so happy to help, this wasn’t difficult at all. They recognised my husband from the second day and sorted gluten free bread and said if there wasn’t anything he fancied they could make him gluten free pizza or pasta. When Assadi, the chef , told Martin the amazing sushi on the gala night, was mostly gluten free, he was so delighted. Each night a special plate of desserts was bought over to him , which included beautiful chocolate and date cakes and macarons. One night the lamb ran out, so Assadi cooked a whole plate of it especially for him.

We really enjoyed our holiday, and wouldn’t hesitate to recommend this hotel to others. We can see why so many people visit multiple times.

Riu hotel... just!!
Pros:

As Riu hotels go this is probably at the lower end of the high standards you get elsewhere. Mind you, we're spoilt by other Rius with bars in the rooms, larger rooms, massive hotel areas and multiple places to eat at all times of day and night.
That's not to say this place is bad, it's not, it's great for such a small Riu. The staff are amazing, the rooms are spotless and the outside areas are very well maintained.
My only gripes are the bar closes at midnight, not 24hrs like other Riu hotels, the food got a little samey after a few days, VERY expensive onsite shop (£16 for a small bottle of aftersun), no snacks!!
The Tui entertainment staff and reps were faultless, hotel staff kind and busy keeping us all happy.
Daily free shuttle bus in and out of city to main square. Pools were freezing but hey, it's February!!
No real complaints at all.... would I stay here again?? Yes. I would if the other Rius in the city were full.

Great holiday
Pros:

We stayed for a week and had a great time. The staff are friendly and helpful. Yassine especially looked after us so well in the restaurant at dinner time. We enjoyed the food. It was tasty and a good choice. We had garden view rooms which were fine and you got the sun in the evening and a nice sunset.
The pools looked very tempting but were freezing at this time of year but there is an indoor heated pool.
The tui reps organise activities throughout the day. Ahmed, Jon and Simon did a great job and kept us entertained all week. This hotel is great for a winter break and we would return.

Pros:

Restaurant staff lovely, room comfortable.
Freezing cold pools, couldn't use them.
Unfortunately holiday completely destroyed due to my jewellery being stolen from my room.
TUI rep was lovely but had her hands tied.
The hotel changed their minds about falling the police.
Left a nasty taste in my mouth.
I hope my deceased Dad's jewellery gave you a better life.
Karma is going to catch you.
You are destroying your own countries reputation.

It's because of this, I will never return to this hotel.

Great hotel
Pros:

We spent 10 days here. Short transfer from the airport.
Lovely hotel. Great choice of pools, bars and restaurants to eat in.
There was a quiet pool for when you want a chilled day and busier pools for when you want music or to participate in the activities by the animation team.
Free shuttle bus was great for visiting the city centre and markets.
Little shop just outside the hotel ‘Mohammed’s’ we booked a trip in a bot air balloon, that was amazing too!
Would return to this lovely hotel
