very disappointing and not an experience I would expect from a hotel operating under the Campanile

Very disappointing family stay – basic facilities and serious room allocation issue

We stayed for 6 nights as a family from 23–29 August. Unfortunately, our experience was very disappointing.

One of the rooms we booked had **non-functioning air conditioning for the entire stay**. I reported this to reception every day and was repeatedly told that an engineer would be sent, but nobody ever came to resolve the issue. There was also **no intercom in the room**, meaning I had to physically walk to reception every time I needed to report or follow up on the problem. On one occasion, I was asked to come to reception at 8am, only for the manager to tell me to return at 10am and report the same issue again. Despite all the repeated reports, nothing was done.

Even more concerning was an issue involving the **room allocated to our children**. The room was apparently allocated to another guest, who entered the room after 10pm. Our access card was subsequently cancelled, leaving us unable to access the room normally. This was extremely concerning and unacceptable, particularly when travelling with children.

I understand this is a **3-star hotel**, and I am not expecting a luxury experience. However, functioning basic facilities, secure room allocation, working access cards and proper handling of guest complaints should be basic standards regardless of the hotel's rating.

The location may be convenient, but unfortunately the poor handling of these issues significantly affected what was supposed to be a relaxing family holiday.
