The facilities are beautiful
We have stayed here multiple times and it is always beautiful and the staff are very kind. The rooms are comfortable and it’s a beautiful property to walk. We also appreciate that it is pet friendly.
We were disappointed that room service was not available when we stayed, and since there are no places to buy snacks or any other food options on the property, you are forced to leave the location and bring food back to your room. Although not a huge inconvenience, we were unaware that the dinner menu is not always available, and the restaurant was closed, with only the bar available.
Atmosphere & kindness of all staff.
Stunningly beautiful resort very close to town, with a free on demand shuttle service. Our room was spacious and had its own balcony with a pastoral view. The spa was outstanding. The food at the restaurant was a 10/10–truly gourmet fare and large portions.
The only thing that could stand some improvement was the fact that there were no outlets or USB ports near the bed for our cell phones.
Close to town.
The grounds were beautiful.
Limited parking
The indoor swimming pool and hot tub was a huge benefit for us as we stayed during spring break. The added bonus of there being trees and fish pond within the swimming area was a lot of fun for my kids to see as well.
The location was great, a perfect weekend getaway trip. It was an incredible peaceful atmosphere, shuttle service was amazing, and close enough to explore downtown or ski Taos
The pool, the food, the location.
Half of the staff were lovely and the other half were ok.
First time staying at El Monte and really enjoyed our stay. We chose it over an Airbnb and spent less staying at El Monte which included dining and a spa treatment. The staff were friendly and the food in the restaurant was excellent. The bartenders were especially nice and the drinks were incredible. Overall, it made our stay in Taos relaxing and memorable!
The entire staff - even the cleaning people - were friendly and accommodating. The room was indeed clean and beautifully appointed.
Upon further inspection, the room did show signs of wear; specifically, some missing tiles and the plumbing fixtures on the bathtub were loose.
The property, the friendly staff, the bar, the food, the room, the walking distance to town.
Was not so impressed with the swimming pool. It ate 3 hot tubs, one very hot one, the others bigger, no laps swimming
