Staff were brilliant
Nothing
Spotlessly clean room and en-suite.
Location was perfect.
A little cramped in the en-suite.
Internet not available in the bedroom, but fine in the lobby area.
Close to beach and shops
Noisey , old , fire alarm went off at 05:20
Can hear everything in other rooms above below and next door
Proximity to the port, easy enough to walk from the ferry. Clean and absolutely delicious breakfast. Really comfy beds and such friendly staff.
Bit dated, but nature of the building I suspect.
Staff were friendly room 221 excellent views spacious
Fascade of building needs attention
Location just a short walk from the ferry.
We opted for a premium room with sea view. It was spacious with a beautiful bay window that gave an excellent view of Douglas Bay.
Staff were very helpful and friendly - we would definitely stay again.
Absolutely terrible. Room was incredibly noisy next to a nightclub, open until 3 am. Hotel staff bluffed and blagged to pretend it wasn't their fault and this was somehow 'new news' (the club opened in 1990). Terrible value if you cannot get any sleep! Spaces are basic and a total rabbit warren.
Breakfast was the best we have experiance in many years
The heating was too much at times even with radiator switched off, unfortunately fire alarm on first morning, which was thankfully a false alarm
The room was very spacious and comfortable, especially the bed which made for a great night’s sleep. The view from the windows was exceptional - superb views over the bay.
Housekeeping did an excellent job every day — the room was cleaned daily, the beds were made, and the tea, coffee, and milk were always replenished. Fresh towels were also provided whenever needed, which was really appreciated.
Breakfast was very enjoyable with plenty of toast available, and the staff attending the tables were excellent — very efficient, polite, and always welcoming when you entered the dining room.
The reception staff were also fantastic throughout our stay, always happy to help and answer any questions we had.
Overall, a very pleasant stay with friendly staff and excellent service throughout.
The only real issue for me was that the room felt a little too warm at times, even with all the radiators turned off. There was also a constant sound that seemed like water moving through the central heating system, possibly from neighbouring rooms or pipework beneath the floor, which may also explain why the room stayed so warm.
There was also a false fire alarm at around 5:45am one morning, which was understandably disruptive. Communication during the incident could perhaps have been clearer, as some guests seemed unsure about what was happening. However, I later learned that the alarm had apparently been triggered by another guest breaking a red alarm call point, so this was clearly not really the hotel’s fault and something that could not easily have been prevented.
Aside from those minor points, I had a very enjoyable stay overall
Proximity to city centre, Ferry terminal, promenade, and Steam railway station
No water provided in the room. Shower box too small.
Great staff! Lovely renovated Seaview room. Good location.
Great staff
Central to every where
Breakfast very good
The breakfast was good
The level of noise, the rooms would benefit from sound dampening. We stayed in room 321 and the lift door was heard from the bed. It woke me up and the noise levels from other quests where very loud, but not the guest themselves there is just no sound proofing and there is huge gaps around the door etc...
Everything sbot on, food, rooms everything
