We struck lucky with this hotel. If we ever come back to the IoM would book here again no doubt.
Pros:

Friendly staff across the board. The hotel has a nice welcoming feel to it. The breakfast was top notch, loads of choice and excellent quality food.

Cons:

Nothing to be picky about with this hotel. If you're paying £500 a night then you are justified in expecting something out of this world. I've stayed in literally 100s of hotels throughout the UK with work and the Chesterhouse is right on the money.

Very enjoyable.
Pros:

The breakfast was lovely with a nice variety of food. Bedroom was a good size and the dining room and reception area are bright and airy. The location of the hotel is great, near to the main shopping street and the port and just a short bus ride to the electric railway and steam train. The staff were very friendly and helpful.

Cons:

The shower continuously alternated between hot and cold. Would benefit with having lounge seating in the bar area, although I’m aware that space is limited.

Brilliant - really enjoyed my stay in the Isle of Man
Pros:

Room was more than adequate, breakfast was amazing, location right on the promanade. Bus stop outside of hotel, walking distance to horse drawn tram and electric railway. Town centre was at the back of the hotel. Easy to use bus to travel to all towns and airport.

Cons:

Stairs and and corridors were narrow, room was at the back of hotel, so no view. Could of paid extra for sea view but felt it wasn't necessary as i was out every day.

Reasonable accommodation close to town at an affordable rate.
Pros:

Very handy location for centre of town.
Good for motorcycle parking.
Lounge and reception area very pleasant.
Breakfast buffet good quality and extensive.
Lift is very handy for luggage.
Shower was adequate and instant hot water.

Cons:

Noisy location next to nightclub and funfair. Limited car parking on street.
Narrow stairs, corridor and lots of doors make it awkward to carry big luggage.
Corridor doors extremely grubby. Never cleaned.
Mattress was lumpy but okay.
Shower curtain is a little down-market.

Enjoyable stay, would recommend
Pros:

The hotel is in a fantastic location, the rooms are comfortable and clean. The breakfast was buffet style and delicious. The staff are kind and friendly particularly in the restaurant.

Cons:

The hallways are narrow upstairs and would have liked a front of hotel room I didn’t realise this needed to be requested upon booking, I asked reception but all the rooms were full so couldn’t swap. sleep was disturbed with loud seagulls and pigeons that were congregating at the back of the room (not hotels fault) maybe take earplugs if this will bother you.

All in all a good weekend had.
Pros:

Great location
Great breakfast
Really friendly staff

Cons:

Old building with no air con or fans in the room. We got the weekend where the weather was 28 degrees outside but the rooms at night felt like it was 30 degrees. Poor nights sleep
