Suites Roc Portonova

The apartment was clean and the staff were very helpful. There was ongoing renovation but the room we got was not renovated yet so it was outdated. Hopefully we can come back again once the renovation is complete because the apartment has a great location close to shops and the beach.

Upon arrival we asked about the baggage storage as we arrived before check in time, they showed us to a storage room that was unlocked and was more like a staff room. Just to later see that others were having their goods stored in a locked room. After when was finally time for check in they let us know there is a safety deposit for the booking which was hidden in the policy. Just to find out that not only the room we were put in was a complete mess with lots of issues but also our view was the bins (trash cans) from the restaurant in front of the hotel. We couldn’t see the see, and everything the balcony smelled like barbecue from the restaurant we couldn’t dry our clothes there as it will make them smell, and the second night they put a group of loud boys that didn’t stop shouting until 4 in the morning in the apartment over us. Not what I paid for and I wouldn’t be coming back.

The Roc Portonova Apartamentos are in a great location. Over looking Palma Nova boat club/Palma Nova bay. There is an outdoor and an indoor pool.

The buildings works are still continuing in some of the apartments. Our room, large in size, a 2 bedroom apartment but it is very dated. This room provides a wonderful view of the bay, but you need to look past the very large rooftop first of all. The room had a horrible, spilt milk smell to it and the locks/security are insufficient. It is important to note, some of these apartments are residential/privately owned. We were not aware of this.

On arrival, we were told we had to pay a refundable deposit, this was the first we had heard of this. There was no other communication re our stay - at all. No information on WIFI, Bar opening times, entertainment, house keeping - nothing.

We were on a short break, house-keeping did not visit our apartment once in our 3 nights. The pillows provided were very high/hard. We enquired about moving room, we looked at another apartment, this too was an older style, looking out onto an abandoned building.

On our last morning, we had breakfast at the bar/poop area. It was a lovely breakfast and included cooked breakfast/fruits/pastries/tea, coffee/juices.

The beach is right on your doorstep, there are supermarkets, bars/restaurants all within walking distance. The apartment has cooking facilities, including a microwave, iron/board.

Sadly not an impressive stay. Building was under construction but this caused lots of inconvenience for us and really put a downer on the holiday. Hotel was extremely dusty and corridors smelt really bad which was bad due to a member of the party being asthmatic. There was very loud construction work which started early most mornings and woke us up. There was also several days of our trip where we woke up to no water, not hot water and on some occasions while we were in apartment we had no power as power cut out. This was unacceptable and hotel did not seem too bothered.

I must make everybody aware do not visit this hotel. There are enormous works including electricity being cut off no hot water. The pool is not usable dust and workmen everywhere the lifts didn’t work. Nobody manning the reception desk to deal with our problems. And when we rang, we just got a answerphone and then cut off absolutely appalling avoid avoid avoid. such danger I can’t upload as many photographs as I took, but it was terrible

Good location. We had 2 bed apartment, which needs some maintenance. Ground floor apartment and the access to the pool is in need of repair. The gate has been broken and the metal pieces have just been left sticking out, very dangerous if you were staying with children. The beds were very comfy, I’d say we were lucky enough to have new mattresses. The sheets and towels were also clean and in good condition, however overall the apartment needs a refurb. The internal doors are in bits and the patio door nearly doesn’t open. Nice pool. Food available at pool bar all day. Overall our stay was fine as it was only 3 days but if you have high expectations don’t stay here. It’s very dated and in need of upgrade.

Great apartment, very spacious with a fantastic view especially for the price. Yes the rooms are tired but everything was clean and well equipped. The beds are very firm. The staff were friendly and welcoming. Pool area was clean and the pool bar prices are very reasonable.

Great location and although rooms are a bit dated, for what I paid I have say it was value for money

We were not impressed with this hotel and booked another and left after one night. The room air conditioning did not work so none of the family got any sleep. The room wasn’t the cleanest but the air con was our main problem. In the hallways of the hotel the carpet was not very clean. It seemed as though some people actually live in the hotel as there was people with dogs and non hotel furniture on balconies. On one of the floors there was broken walls and flaked off paint / wood chip where part of the wall had been broken. Would not recommend and would not book again.

Arrived in the evening, staff ( Helena) very nice.
Once out of reception area, accommodation is very dated and in need of attention.
Apt/ Room was clean
Toilet flush broken and toilet leaking
Contacted recp and it was repaired the next morning.
Air con on but doesn’t do much in the bedrooms
Beds comfy, clean towels
Sliding door to balcony poor quality and hard to slide or secure
Ants in the lounge area Corner and on balcony

Nice staff

We stayed on the 4th floor and on entering the room your eyes are drawn to the most amazing veiw across the bay, however the more we looked around the more noticeable it was of how tierd the hotel was and in need of some major renovation.
We still had a great time and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

The location was really good hotel was nice and clean but the only thing was the balcony doors were not secure in my room and my friends room next door they had the littlest of bolts fitted they need to be secured more

Rooms are tired as other reviews say but other than that the stay was great.
Staff, location, pool and pool bar all perfect.
Could do with some TLC but wouldn't let that put you off staying.

The room's were dirty and very old fashioned, in disrepair and the balcony's uneven not what is advertised.

Whole place is in need of complete renovation, and is not appealing at all. Even the reception area is in very poor condition.

Beds were comfortable and staff pleasant

Old property, in need of renovation, staff is very stingy, poor management, smell in the hallway, uneven paths, ac blew cold stinky air, they want to inspect the room before you leave just to nickel and dime you, sliding doors were not operable to enjoy the balcony. The furniture in the rooms are very bad do not be deceived by the pics. The hallways have old mattresses and weird stenches coming from urine stains on the carpets.

Good location but not the best quality of hotel

Plenty of space in the apartment.
Comfortable bed. Attractive foyer.
Hotel frontage and apartment doors reminded me of 70s TV dramas but in general good accommodation for families.
