The location was good coming from a concert being right by the freeway
The first room I had was. It clean we had to change rooms.
The property was near everything I needed in Rocklin, and there was a nice breakfast place nearby. The free parking was nice. The front desk staff was friendly and nice.
The freeway noise was really loud. The room and hotel overall was not very clean when we checked in, there were hairs in the shower and some sort of sauce on the floor near the bed that did not get cleaned up from past stays. The hotel is pet friendly and we stayed on the pet friendly floor but the hallway smelled like dog pee and our room smelled like stinky cheese. There was only one thin blanket on the bed, not even a comforter. The bed also was very old and had a huge tilt into the middle making it very uncomfortable to sleep on. The air conditioner and heater smelled when it was turned on and it didn’t blow constantly. Our room keys barely worked it took multiple tries every single time we were trying to get into the room. The hotel is overall very outdated and not clean. I was disappointed with the quality of our stay but it served its purpose as a place to shower and sleep.
Breakfast was good but I was looking forward to the typical waffle maker and so was disappointed that it wasn't available. I was happy to see that the refrigerator had a freezer section, as many don't, and it was very useful for us as we had a cooler with a frozen sleeve, which fit in the freezer compartment.
The heater had the normal 3 fan speed settings, except that they were all the same, and the temperature seemed to keep rising regardless of my lowering the settings.
The toilet paper required that a normal size female or smaller male had to rise from the toilet to reach it, which was pretty ridiculous, and I have never seen before.
The internet worked fine in the lobby but not in my room 337. My wife had to run her iPads off of the wifi spot on my iPhone. The young man in the lobby was nice but certainly had no clue as to how to resolve the problem, so that was problematic.
Location was good. Breakfast was terrible, the worst I ever had.

The staff was friendly, the room was clean, and the complimentary breakfast surpassed my expectations! Additionally, I liked that it was centrally located. The building was clearly on the older side but the staff did a good job of keeping it clean and comfortable.
The room I stayed in had a door lock that was very finicky. It required about thirty seconds to a minute of inserting the keycard and trying the handle multiple times to get it to open.
