Pros:

It is actually a set of old buildings in the center of Charlottetown. So rooms can be in different buildings but that is not an issue. Rooms very comfortable and clean. Perfect central location.
The only thing is that breafast is served in the lobby, so not everybody can sit comfortably and one has to have breafast sitting on the couch with the low table.

Good but formal atmosphere not as warm and welcoming as it could be.
Pros:

Location
Staff were very nice.

Cons:

The breakfast was lacking. No fruit, plain yogurt for a breakfast bowl, no nuts, oatmeal, maple syrup. No scrambled eggs. Some people don’t like quiche or frittata! Hard to find seating and some areas are awkward to actually eat breakfast because of big chairs and coffee tables.
The lobby area needs a refresh. It is dated and stuffy. Very crowded with overstuffed furniture.
The room was dark. Bathroom not easy for getting ready in terms of counter space and lighting.

Cons:

There is no dining room for breakfast, that means no decent table to put a plate for breakfast. I was surprised to see such a situation at a 5 star hotel.

Execution does not match expectations.
Pros:

Property is a mix of inn and adjacent older townhouses. Our site was the "Dorchester" at the edge of the complex. An older tired Victorian 2BR with kitchen, the entire house to ourselves. Arrived on a hot June day. As others have noted check in staff was not very helpful in explaining the parking and layout of complex. Once in the unit, A/C was not working. Tried turning down. Just got hotter. Maintenance arrived after 10PM and determined units improperly vented to outside recycling heat into unit. Our first night was disrupted until 11 pm for emergency repairs. There is no way unit should have been rented with this potentially dangerous AC installation creating serious heat around drapes and windows. Only concession by management was $75 gift card on a $500 Canadian /night cost, two night stay. If you stay here carefully evaluate the various properties, I suspect others were much nicer than the one we were assigned. Also parking is not adequate for all the sites, on late arrival the lots were full. Otherwise location is excellent for experiencing the best areas of Charlottetown. Breakfast as others have detailed, nothing special and odd seating using the same chairs and sofas as the hotel lounge, balancing food on trays etc.

Despite some of the minor issues, I'd stay here again. The staff are amazing!!
Pros:

The set up of the Great George is very original. Many different buildings are incorporated into the hotel. We had an old colonial design home, consisting of a few different apartments. Ours was completely modern with the marvel of heated bathroom tile floors.

Cons:

I didn't like that I had to wait until 5pm to get my room refreshed. I'm already back from a day of adventuring and want to shower, but I have to wait until someone shows up because there are things that need refreshing in my room (coffee, tissues, etc.)

I also wasn't a fan of the way breakfast was served. No tables to sit at, just a living room style layout where you had to eat breafast on your lap.
