Very clean, lovely breakfast.

Excellent breakfast, quiet room, big bathroom

Very good couple of days getaway with the other half. Only reason I scored it an 8/10 was that on arrival we were met with scaffolding and construction work being done to hotel. I was immediately worried I might have been had with the booking but on entering the lobby was greeted by a lovely receptionist who was very friendly and warm to take to. They have a 24 hr multi story carpark next to the hotel which is £5 for 24hrs parking and no need to move your car after 24hr time is up it just rolls over and keeps going until you leave. We stayed 2 nights so only paid £10 and didn’t need to move the car. That’s a bargain!!! After checking in I enquired as to the scaffolding and building work to be informed they are expanding. Bringing in some luxury amenities for 2027 such as a spa and conference room and additional rooms. We were assured workers down tools after 5pm and true to her word they did, although the 7:30am start for the workers can’t be helped didn’t really cause any problems so the worries were for nothing. Room was very spacious and bed was lovely and big, clean sheets and towels, tea and coffee station all stocked with ginger nut biscuits. We paid for
the breakfast included option which we were a little late to on the first morning so the continental options were depleted but plenty of cereal left, the cooked options were still available and my other half order smashed avocado and poached eggs on toast which he said was delicious. Day 2 we got down earlier and there were pastries a plenty. Other half had the breakfast muffin which resembled a massive stacked tower on arrival 😂 he loved that also. There’s a Tesco express across the road for any essentials. Plenty of restaurants in a 10/15 min walk radius from the hotel. Highly recommend visiting the Albert Hall and if you are a seafood lover trying the £85 deluxe seafood boil from rock and scallop. And Cattle and Co smokehouse ❤️ visited Plantasia too

Room was nice and comfortable

Sehr freundliches Personal, gute Lage vis-à-vis des Bahnhofes, sauberes Zimmer, Hotel-eigenes Restaurant mit schöner Auswahl an Speisen,

the room was large with a nice comfy bed the bathroom was a nice size with a shower over the bath and as I am 74 my wife is 70 we both walk with sticks and have arthritis in our knees so it was a bit of a struggle to have a shower but not a problem the staff where so helpful and lovely they really made us welcome . the breakfast was one of the best choices we have had all the continental was laid out to help yourself with a good selection there was a menu of cooked the nice young lady came and took our order . the location is ideal next to the railway station we caught a bus into the city centre from outside the hotel it took about 8 mins this is a hotel we would defiantly stay in again and the prices are reasonable we parked in the car park next to the hotel we arrived at 1pm and left at 9 am the next day it cost us £5

Room was beautiful an clean

We had a really comfy bed and the room was a good size.

I was very impressed with the staff. In particular, I would single out Rebbeca on the main desk. Very helpful, super attitude. A credit to the Grand Hotel.

Being upgraded to the executive room was a pleasant surprise. The two staff at the reception (especially Rebecca) and the room service lady (Wen) were very pleasant, hospitable, and helpful.

Friendly staff. Carpark next door. Strong water pressure. Delicious breakfast. Decent red wine. I liked the decor in the bar.

Lage des Hotels ausgezeichnet. Gegenüber vom Bahnhof besonders für ÖV-Benutzer super. Das Bett fand ich herrlich bequem. Ich hab geschlafen, wie ein Baby. Frühstück hat grosse Auswahl. Hauptmenü kann ausgewählt und separat bestellt werden. Buffet beinhaltet u.a auch Früchte und das übliche Sortiment wie Cereals, Croissant etc.
Abendessen war auch sehr gut und kann in der Bar eingenommen werden. Dusche ganz ok. Warmwasser kommt schnell und Druck ist genügend vorhanden.
