Hotel Meninas

Great location . Staff are friendly and very helpful. Room was a bit small and there were some hot water issues but these were minor gripes.

Decent size rooms which are spotless clean. Location is very good - right at the heart of the city but on a quiet side lane, which is fantastic. Loads of restaurants nearby. The palace is also a short walk away.

Overall, I would recommend this hotel to all travellers.

2 mins from Opera Metro station, the Hotel Meninas ticks most boxes, Comfortable (we opted for a mini suite), ad within easy walking distance of The Palace, PlazaMayor and the Opera House. Gran Via and Sol are 15-20 mins walk away.
The Main museums are walkable or a few metro stops away.
Ultra friendly staff and comfort/ Location means this hotel is a great base when in Madrid ( this was our second visit- and we will return.

A very comfortable and very well located hotel. Ideal for exploring Madrid. It is by the Theatre Real and very close to the Ópera metro station so very handy for transportation. Within easy walking distance of many beautiful buildings and areas. Rooms well appointed, very clean and high quality toiletries provided. Kettle, fridge and safe provided. Though a little short on surface/desk areas, adequate storage space provided. Comfortable bed with crisp clean linen.
Breakfast of the Continental variety, but with a few hot dishes provided as well. Served downstairs in a bright, clean and ‘quirky’ breakfast room. Items replenished efficiently.
If you take the ‘Half-board’ option, you do have to go to the sister hotel (Hotel Opera), to use their restaurant (El Cafe de l’Opera), which is a very short distance away (approx. 2min walk). The food is of good quality. Huge portions and nicely presented. Victor and Mario are excellent head waiters and are keen to please and will do their best to accommodate any variations to the menu you require.
What made our stay perfect in Hotel Meninas was the efficiency, helpfulness, friendliness and professionalism of the staff, particularly on reception. During our stay both Nacho & Carolina proved to be invaluable. Having never visited Madrid before, their knowledge and information was first class and Nacho was able to solve a couple of transportation queries we had with utmost effort. We did have a couple of issues with the evening meal and Carolina resolved those immediately. They should both be very highly commended for their excellent hard work. It was our 40th wedding anniversary whilst we were there and they went above and beyond to make the whole of our stay very special and very comfortable.
We will definitely return to Madrid and wouldn’t consider staying anywhere else other than Hotel Meninas. It definitely exceeded our expectations in every way.

We were only in Madrid for two days, so we wanted a hotel with a good location. While searching, we noticed that well-located hotels are quite expensive. We found this one that met all of our expectations. Well located, well rated on Tripadvisor, good price, breakfast included... We were not disappointed, quite the opposite. The room 205 we had was very nice, clean, and large by European standards. The bed was very comfortable. Upon arrival, we were greeted by a charming person named Carolina. Friendly and smiling. Really kind. Both arrival and departure were very pleasant. The breakfast room is large enough and the buffet offered is varied and good. We recommend without hesitation.

The hotel was very clean and amenities were good. The staff were friendly and helpful. I would not recommend getting the breakfast package.

I stayed for two nights with my daughter. Our room was comfortable. The service provided by Carolina was excellent. She is a credit to your hotel. 🩷

Very nice hotel, in great part of the city for visiting sights and having lots of restaurants close by.
Lovely historic building with individual features.
Check out was a bit of a palaver but not a major drama.
Breakfast was ok, but there was no variety over the days we were there so it got a bit boring.

Very helpful and friendly staff, comfortable room and good breakfast. Excellent tip to go to the Prado museum when free.

Very clean room and bathroom. Great location

This is my second time here, and although the breakfast wasn't as good as last time (it was still very good), everything else seemed just as good. My family loved the location, it was convenient for all that we wanted to do. The staff were friendly, helpful and accommodating. The room we stayed in on the fourth floor met all our needs. It is hard to put my finger on it, but I just had a better experience (and my last experience wasn't bad at all).

I absolutely loved this boutique hotel. The location was not only perfect but the staff were delightful. I could easily practise my Spanish and this is not always the case in other Europen cities where they always speak back to you in English. It was so clean and the room was beautifully decorated with large walk in shower. The breakfast was also perfect with such a big choice. The best hotel I have stayed in for ages.

We stayed in Room 203, a twin with a street view and balcony. It was quiet enough and felt airy due to the high ceilings. Aircon was super quiet at night and the beds comfy. We slept very well.

The staff were efficient and helpful.

We didn't take breakfast there given the huge amount of choice a quick stroll away, definitely recommend the San Miguel Market, what a food hall!!

A great hotel in the centre of the city. The Junior Suite we had was excellent. The staff were so helpful. Breakfasts were very good so overall a great stay. The Meninas hotel is part of the adjacent larger Opera hotel and the associated cafe/restaurant was really good.

This is a really nice little hotel. Its very clean and the reception staff are well dressed and welcoming. They seem to be educated in providing a correct service to travelers. The rooms seem to be very recently refurbished - and the wooden staircase that sits in the middle of the buildling - is beautiful as are the hallways. They feel light and airy. Its also on a quiet street away from the crowds and really near metro Opera. This would suit anyone needing a quiet hotel. I would definitely return to this little gem.
