Wonderful, quaint, no frills with a fabulous host

Clean motel with a friendly manager.
Pros:

Very kind staff made our stay comfortable and feel safe.
Clean sheets, comfortable mattress, good shower, working TV, nice hot water. Very reasonably priced for the location.
The staff made sure we are doing okay until departure.

Cons:

We found dust and mold on chair here and there, but for the price we were fine wiping them off by ourselves. Just look for hidden places for missed spots and you are fine.

The owner was very unprofessional, showed us room in his pj's
Water in bathroom came out brown.
there were several motorcycles parked where we should have parked
They were skimpy on the towels and reluctantly gave us extra bedding

The peaceful atmosphere! Interstate 10 is a rocks throw; however, in your room you can seldom hear anything. Nice walk down a two-lane road that provided absolute beauty; plus a peek into the old Segovia post office

Cons:

The hint of cigarette smoke. The rooms are smoke-free but initially there was a slight hint. Maybe someone had smoked outside then went in. However, after running the AC for about an hour the unexpected happened. The smell was gone!
