No ventilation/ AC permanently switched off only ventilation was opening the side door leaving us exposed to any type of intruders any one could have walked off the parking into our room easily. We could have secured the door as there was a lock on it however it was either that or sweat all night long in a ventilation less room
I was at a function nearby so only required the overnight stay to avoid driving.
In this respect the room fulfilled this function.
Unnecessary online booking. Useless TV with instructions in French. Loose, uncontrollable shower head. Very poor lighting. Badly stained toilet bowl. No breakfast provided despite being booked - kitchen closed !
Staff were friendly an d the place was peaceful.
WIFi was terrible and now one knew the password on first night so had to pay for EE wifi

The location was good for my purpose
Lack of staff. I would have liked to see someone on reception. I found it difficult to get the access codes on line. There were no towels in the bathroom, unable to use the shower because the door was not fixed properly and the floor would have been flooded. The sink would not hold water because the plug didn't work. The cupboards under the sink were filthy. I was expecting the restaurant to be open but there was no indication of when it would be open
Beds nice and cosy generally clean room tea coffee facilities and portable heaters available told air con awaiting maintenence, but that did not bother us ,only in for 2 nights over stay ,appearance overall good,for what we paid it did the job needs , looks as good as photos advertised foyer and corridors clean ,
Decoration of family room ,bathroom paint and grout poor state , draws had an odd oder ,dirty side window outside needs a clean but to be fair its baked onto woodland , no restaurants open told at present when asked about breakfasts ,no bar open ,

It was awful and so disappointing. The hotel have been contacted and booking.com.
Filthy, springs poking through all the mattresses in the room, stains on the towels, shower didn’t even work and you turned it on and it trickled out and dripped. Rotten, dirty and marked. Air conditioning on the room broken and they advertise this in the booking all rooms will have air conditioning. The back door didn’t lock properly, all broken off so no security. The balcony outside doors which go into the rooms next door were broken so anyone could walk into our area. Mould and dirt up the wall. Dirty bath and toilet. Grout missing in some of the tiles on the floor so sharp on your feet. Corridors had all the curtains down and hanging off, carpet ripped as we walked to our room, wish I would upload more than 4 pics and show you everywhere. Lock on our main door was key coded and kept saying battery low so didn’t work well.
If our poor little boy wasn’t so tired as we arrived late in the dark we would not have stayed. It as awful. Got bites under my arms after stay too. Literally we didn’t move in the bed as soon as you moved your weight felt the spring ls straight away and dug into you: horrendous. I can’t evolve this place is allowed to be on here for booking. We booked a family room for a 1 night stay between theme park visits. We weren’t expecting much as we got a good price for a good central location but we were expecting the room to be clean at the very least.
The whole place felt derelict with a damp, musty smell throughout. The room was mouldy and dirty. If we weren’t 3 hours away from home we would have left. A/C didn’t work, hairs in the bath, ripped curtains with paint stains and cigarette burns, sticky surfaces, dirt on chairs. The room was on a slope, doors didn’t lock properly and felt unsafe.
After checking in, we drove straight into Reigate to get some thing to eat and stayed out as late as we could manage (with a young child) to spend as little time in the room as possible. Reception staff were apologetic when we complained but there was no offer of any sort of compensation or change of rooms.
Looking at the reviews on here, the hotel are NOT taking on any feedback and don’t seem to be taking action to improve.

Not fit for purpose
The beds were comfortable
First of all, there was misinformation by the staff which caused us delay of work and wastage of time. We were told we could check in around 11 which was not the case told later by last minute enquiry by another staff member. Secondly there was a strange smell everywhere in the hotel that caused discomfort and olcherry on top were the bugs inside the room.
Nothing it was not nice in the slightest
The place was filthy, covered in cobwebs, spiders, insects and moths, there was dust everywhere, the carpets were filthy, the walls were Grimey, very very outdated, no air con, the balcony door wouldn't close, rubbish everywhere, rust and grime makes in the bathtub, sealant pealing off, toilet had dirt and rust marks, like liturally everything needed to be scrubbed down and cleaned, I only put up with it as there was no where else I could go with my children
