Staff & location
There was construction & did not meet the expectations for the price. The staff & location was AMAZING. Should have shut down the floors that had construction instead of visible tarp for guest to witness. Aesthetics was unacceptable.
Staff and management were fabulous. I went with a group and needed to be roomed together they accommodated. When we discovered one of the rooms. Was booked without a sofa bed they got right on the phone and booked us the same price with all yhr accommodations we needed at a sister hotel. The short time we were there we were very pleased. Room was clean, beds soft, pool looked great. Staff fantastic. We did all the normal checks. We just needed the sofa bed for an extra person we had. They were remodeling one section but had it taped off so not to bother and were keeping g it clean. We will definitely stay again.
The Hampton Guarantee is a myth. Arrived after traveling in from out of state and our room was switched from 2 queens to a king because of lack of availability. This would not accommodate our family of 4 and we were basically told "too bad." True, the hotel was under renovations and they had limited availability, but when Greg called me earlier in the week to confirm my card and room, this was not mentioned and I was not told the room would be changed. I am a 10 year Hilton Honors member but was told because I booked through a third part that i was basically a second tier "guest", and that if I did not like the change they could check me out at that moment. (I had not checked in yet). The 100% satisfaction is a complete lie. Change it 90% because you don't care about guests who don't book direct. The hotel was dirty. The TV worked on and off. The pool was gross. Fitness was closed. Breakfast was gross. Go somewhere else.
Location
No ac, pool was closed, remodel noise and terrible smells
Currently under renovation. When booking it merely said "lobby renovation". In reality, they are also renovating several rooms. The crews start fairly early, and easily work until 5 p.m. The room was nice enough, and the bed fairly comfortable. The usual, miserable, Hilton pillows.. The small, wall mounted hairdryer is cute, but way too small to be useful to anyone except those with quite short hair. Mine is chin length and certainly not thick, and the hairdryer overheated and just quit about 2/3 of the way through my styling. As the hotel is close to the interstate, it is fairly noisy. I could hear trucks and traffic all night ~ definitely should have been constructed with better windows. The low numbered rooms are closest to the interstate ~ if you can choose your room, pick a high number. There are 4 Hilton properties basically right next to each other. The Hilton Garden Inn is the farthest away from the interstate, and is maybe quieter?
Breakfast was good and location was good
Room I booked wasn’t available. Pool was closed. Only one person was working. Fire alarm went off in the night. Rang 5 times and then stopped.
Hallway carpet needs to be tightened and could be a tripping hazard.
Also wish housekeeping was daily. Bc we were there 2 nights we did not get that service.
Friendly front staff.
Vanity light out in bathroom
Breakfast was good. The location was good.
Nothing on website indicated property is undergoing renovation. Drywall residue was EVERYWHERE-- hallways, elevators. Pool was also undergoing "maintenance" and was unavailable for use. We would have booked another hotel if we had had prior knowledge. Our first room had a noisy heating unit so we had to move to another room after having unpacked.
Terrible stench smelled like old urine and wrong suite. Bad service. Would never com here again it’s suite 131. Don’t come here.
Bathrooms in rooms need renovation
